We have free resources that can help educate the family on the importance of less screen time and the long term effects screens can have on young children. โญ๏ธ

One being our Family Media Agreement. A family media agreement is a practical, proactive way to establish clear boundaries around screen time without the daily power struggles. By collaborating with your child to set clear expectations such as designated device-free zones (like bedrooms) and specific times for use, you help protect essential daily habits like outdoor play, face-to-face connection, and quality sleep. ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿ“

6 strategies we recommend to start implementing at home to reduce screentime with the kids! ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ“ฑ

1. No screen at meals times (that's for everyone in the whole family)
2. Screens off 1 hour before bed (encouraging reading for the kids)
3. Create a charging station outside the bedroom
4. 'Earn it' rather than 'limit it'. Especially ensuring the screens are not the first thing they gravitate to in the morning.
5. Name it without shaming it. Talk to your child about why you're doing this.
6. Watch your own use! Probably the most important. Kids reflect our behaviour.
