🌟 Our Stage 1 & 2 Students Shine at MOSAIC Community Night! 🌟

Our talented Stage 1 & 2 students proudly participated in the MOSAIC Community Night, organized by MOSAIC Adelaide, where they beautifully shared the rich significance of Tamil culture, its history of migrations, festivals, and food.

✨ Highlights of the Event:
✅ A wonderful presentation on Pongal, the Tamil heritage festival, explaining its traditions and importance.
✅ An engaging session on Kummi dance, its significance, and a comparison with other traditional dances from around the world.
✅ A lively Kummi dance performance, where attendees joined in and danced to the rhythm!
✅ An interactive Kahoot quiz on the presentation, with prizes distributed to winners.
✅ Attendees enjoyed authentic Tamil traditional food, adding a delicious touch to the celebration.

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who supported this event and made it a success. Special thanks to Mrs. Bathri for preparing the wonderful food and Mr. Lenard for giving us this fantastic opportunity to showcase Tamil culture and cuisine.

Our South Australia Tamil School at 37 Hayward Avenue, Torrensville will be reopening on Sunday, 09/02/25, after the summer holidays!

👉 Tamil is taught from Reception to Year 12 by CLSSA-trained teachers.
👉 For students interested in SACE Tamil, we have SACE-approved teachers conducting classes for Stage 1 & 2.
👉 Our school specialises in literature, music, drama, cultural programs, and Tamil competition training.

12TH SOUTH AUSTRALIA TAMIL SCHOOL ANNUAL DAY

Once again, our children have showcased their talents not only in academics but also in dance, music, and drama. This year, 29 students participated in the Tamil Competition, with 10 traveling to Sydney and winning awards—a fantastic achievement! Additionally, 4 SACE Stage 2 students appeared for their Tamil final exams, alongside 4 Stage 1 students.

We are wrapping up this successful year with a historic milestone: a tour to Naracoorte and a one-night stay at Tailem Bend, a first in the school’s history. None of this would have been possible without the immense support of our parents, teachers, and children.
School Management would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all parents and children who participated in the Annual Day and contributed in various ways. A special mention to parents Jeevi, Preethi, Jaga (Parent and Teacher), Ramya (Parent and Teacher), and Kavitha (Parent and Teacher) for their dedication in training the kids for the dance performances and dramas. Your efforts truly shone on stage!
A big thank you to Aksh*tha (student) for choreographing one of the dance performances so beautifully. My sincere appreciation goes to Logeshwari, Soundarya, Jadson, and Karthika for directing the short movie within such a short span of time—an impressive accomplishment!
Special thanks to parents Kavitha, Akila, Arasi, and Kalai Vani for helping with the certificates, to Loyola and Alagar Raj for assisting with table arrangements, and to Prabhu for flawlessly managing the audio and video.
A special acknowledgment to Lawrence, Anbu, Vikki, Aruna, Karthik, Joyce, Babu, Nages, Anne, and Rajesh of Ayyanaar Community Catering group for stepping up and serving parents on the day despite your fatigue. Your willingness to support the community is deeply appreciated. We received commendable feedback from parents about its taste, quality, and quantity. Some parents even inquired about your team. Your reputation is growing!
