Not every session is one you should try to carry alone — and knowing that is part of doing this work well.

When trauma runs deep, in the horse or the person on the other end of the call, an Equine Partnered Communicator's job is to recognise it, hold the space with care, and know exactly when and how to refer toward deeper support.

The unglamorous but essential habit: energetic hygiene.

Clearing your own space and state between sessions — so what came through for one client doesn't quietly carry into the next reading, or into the rest of your day. A sustainable practice depends on this as much as it depends on skill.

There are days when I stop and realise just how lucky I am.

Because what I do doesn’t feel like a job.

It’s the quiet moments. The conversations without words. The trust that builds slowly. The feeling of being beside these incredible beings and learning something new from them every single day.

And honestly, I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

What a privilege it is to call this my work, my purpose, and my way of life 🤎🐴

Where you sit for a reading matters more than it seems.

A clean, uncluttered, distraction-free space isn't aesthetic preference — it's part of the method. It signals to your own nervous system that it's time to shift into a receptive state, the same way a horse settles faster in a familiar paddock.

Before you can hold space for a client, EPC asks you to do some of this work yourself — starting with the inner child.

The parts of us that haven't been fully seen or heard tend to be the parts that get in the way of receiving clearly. This isn't a detour from the training. It's the foundation of it.

Feminine and masculine energy, as we use the terms in EPC, aren't about gender — they're two modes present in every person and every horse.

One mode receives, feels, and responds. The other provides, acts, and initiates. A horse-human partnership needs both, in balance. When one is chronically overworked, the relationship tends to show it.

Some mornings, there’s nothing to achieve.

Just a quiet moment, a horse beside you, and the space to simply be present 🤎

It’s easy to overlook the little moments when we’re always thinking about what comes next.

But sometimes, those are the moments that stay with us the longest.

Here’s to slowing down, noticing more, and finding connection in the quiet x✨

One of the tools EPC introduces: mapping the chakra system onto the equine body.

Same framework used in human energy work, applied to where a horse tends to hold tension or blockage. It's one lens among several — not a diagnosis, a way of noticing.

One of the more delicate parts of this work: so often, what's happening in the horse is also happening in the owner.

A frustrated horse in a frustrating environment. A disconnected horse and a disconnected week. Relaying that mirror without it landing as a criticism — with genuine softness, not a "gotcha" — is a skill EPC spends real time on.

Before you look for anything complicated in a reading, ask the simple question first: are this horse's primal needs actually being met?

Safety and herd belonging. Ingestion — a horse is built to graze 16–18 hours a day, not eat twice on a schedule. Body care. So much of what gets labelled a "quirk" or a "problem" is simply an unmet primal need asking to be noticed.
