Our High School students recently attended the Adelaide Careers & Employment Expo!

Students had the opportunity to explore future pathways, speak with universities, training organisations, employers, and industry representatives, while gaining valuable insights into career options, further study, apprenticeships, and emerging industries.

With interactive displays, career advice sessions, and hands-on experiences, the Expo provided an excellent opportunity for our students to start thinking about their future goals and aspirations.

A great day of learning, exploration, and inspiration for our students!

As part of the lead-up to the AFL Gather Round, we were delighted to welcome Amer and Breannah from SANFL to Garden College.

Our students had the exciting opportunity to see the AFL Premiership Cup up close — a truly memorable experience that sparked enthusiasm and curiosity across the school.

A sincere thank you to Amer and Breannah for organising and presenting the cups, and for engaging so positively with our students. 👏🏽

Experiences like this help inspire a love for sport and build excitement around upcoming opportunities such as Auskick, Superkick, AFL9s, the Bachar Houli Cup, and more.

Eid Mubarak from Garden College

On behalf of the students and staff of Garden College, we extend our warmest wishes to our entire community on the joyous occasion of Eid.

As we farewell the blessed month of Ramadan, we reflect on a time filled with faith, patience, generosity, and self-discipline. Ramadan reminds us of the importance of compassion, gratitude, and caring for one another—values that strengthen not only our character, but our communities.

Through this special video, our students share their heartfelt Eid greetings and reflections, celebrating the spirit of togetherness and joy that Eid brings.

While Ramadan may come to an end, its lessons remain with us. Let us continue to uphold the good habits we have nurtured—kindness, prayer, charity, and mindfulness—throughout the year, striving to be better for ourselves and for those around us.

We pray that this Eid brings peace, happiness, and good health to you and your families, and that it is a time of unity and celebration for communities across the globe.

Eid Mubarak.

Famous Women in Islam – A Reflection by Our Year 6 Students

At our Primary Campus morning assembly, the Year 6 students shared a meaningful reflection highlighting inspiring women in Islamic history in recognition of International Women’s Day.

Students spoke about Khadija bint Khuwaylid (May Allah be pleased with her), the first wife of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the first to believe in his message; Fatima al-Zahra (May Allah be pleased with her), known for her devotion, kindness, and unwavering support for her father; Aisha bint Abi Bakr (May Allah be pleased with her), a renowned scholar and teacher who helped preserve many teachings of Islam; Maryam bint Imran (May Allah be pleased with her), honoured in the Qur’an for her faith and purity; and Fatima al-Fihriyya, the founder of Al-Qarawiyyin, recognised as the world’s oldest continuously operating university.

The Year 6 students presented with confidence and enthusiasm, and it was wonderful to see the younger students listening with interest and excitement.

To further enrich this learning, class teachers will also conduct lessons on famous women in Islam, helping students deepen their understanding of the important contributions and values these remarkable women represent.
