Garden College

Garden College Co-educational Foundation/Reception to Year 12 Islamic College located in the North of Adelaide, Parafield Gardens.

Muslim parents know that a good Islamic Education is the best investment that they can provide for their children. Bearing this in mind, Garden College, was established in 2015 to provide a sound Islamic education in a disciplined environment where the values of Islam are of primary importance. The aim of Garden College is very simple; we seek to equip students with enough knowledge and confidence

to put Islamic beliefs, values and morals into practice in their own lives. At Garden College, children are taught to be proud of their Islamic identity and be proud Australian Muslims. The College aims at the development of the whole person, intellectually, spiritually, socially, and physically and the development of individual talents and abilities. The College motto "Advance Through Knowledge" summarises the values we instil in our students. By attending Garden College, all students benefit in their academic and spiritual progress and in the development of their self-esteem, in a caring educational and Islamic environment. All curriculum and extra curricula programs aim to:
- Provide the knowledge and skills required by students for their full participation in the affairs of the Australian and world community.
- Support Muslim families in the development of an Islamic consciousness in their children.
- Foster the development of Islamic manners and lover of learning in its students.
- Provide an avenue for the constructive involvement of the Muslim community in issues of education, training and community development. Garden College also recognises that the purpose of schooling in our current times is to shape and foster multidimensional citizens. It recognises that these citizens live in multicultural societies in a global world. The school philosophy reflects the values and beliefs that permit students to explore their potential to become these citizens, whilst strengthening their Islamic faith commitment. Garden College school philosophy is also built on certain beliefs we hold about students and their environments in which we expect them to learn. We believe all children come to school with valuable potential. All children have things they can do and all learning experiences must begin from there. Our primary responsibility as educators is to recognise each child's potential and create learning pathways that allow this potential to blossom.

🌸 HAPPY PRINCIPAL’S DAY, DR AHDIELAH! 🌸

A beautiful moment captured today as some of our Garden College students came together to celebrate and show their appreciation for our wonderful Principal, Dr Ahdielah Edries. 💐

Principal’s Day gives us an opportunity to recognise the leadership that often happens quietly behind the scenes — supporting students, guiding staff, making countless decisions and continually working to create a school where everyone feels valued, supported and encouraged to succeed.

Dr Ahdielah, your dedication, compassion and commitment to Garden College are deeply appreciated. Most importantly, we are grateful for the genuine care you show our students and your commitment to helping every young person grow, learn and reach their potential.

The flowers, gift and certificate in this photo are only small tokens of something much greater — the gratitude and appreciation of the Garden College community. ❤️

Thank you for your leadership, patience, kindness and the many things you do each day that may not always be seen but certainly make a difference.

From all the staff and students at Garden College:

🌷 Happy Principal’s Day, Dr Ahdielah! May Allah (SWT) reward you for your efforts, place barakah in your leadership and continue to guide you in serving our students and community. Ameen. 🌷

Parent–Teacher Interviews | Building Strong Home–School Partnerships

At Garden College, we believe that a child's success is greatest when parents and teachers work together.

Our Parent–Teacher Interviews will be held tomorrow, and we encourage all parents and caregivers to check their email for the booking information and secure an appointment if you haven't already.

These interviews provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child's academic progress, wellbeing and learning goals, celebrate their achievements, and work together to support their continued growth and success.

To make the process as convenient as possible, interviews for both our Parafield and Modbury campuses will be held at our Parafield Campus, allowing families to meet all of their children's teachers in one location.

We thank our parents for their ongoing partnership and commitment to their children's education. Together, we continue to nurture confident learners, strong character and lifelong success.

Our High School students recently attended the Adelaide Careers & Employment Expo!

Students had the opportunity to explore future pathways, speak with universities, training organisations, employers, and industry representatives, while gaining valuable insights into career options, further study, apprenticeships, and emerging industries.

With interactive displays, career advice sessions, and hands-on experiences, the Expo provided an excellent opportunity for our students to start thinking about their future goals and aspirations.

A great day of learning, exploration, and inspiration for our students!
