We hope all the Dads and Father Figures in our community had a wonderful Father's Day yesterday! 💙

It was fantastic to see so many families come together on Friday afternoon for our PACE Father's Day Kick and Catch. Thank you to everyone who joined us for footy, fun games and delicious donuts! It was a great opportunity for students to spend quality time with their dads and special loved ones.

A huge thank you to PACE for organising another successful Father's Day event for our school community. We appreciate your dedication and the time and effort you put into creating these memorable occasions for our school community.

💙 It's ESO Appreciation Week! 💙

This week, we proudly celebrate and thank our incredible Education Support Officers who make such a difference in the lives of our students, staff, and families every day.

From our classroom support staff, intervention team, library staff, office and finance teams, groundskeeper, and OSHC educators, thank you for the kindness, patience, dedication, and care you bring to our school community. Your support behind the scenes and alongside our students helps create a welcoming, safe, and positive environment where everyone can thrive.

We appreciate all that you do and are so grateful to have such an amazing team at TWCS.

Book Week at TWCS!

What a fantastic week we've had celebrating Book Week 2026.

We kicked off the week with our much-loved Book Week Parade. Throughout the week, students enjoyed a range of fun and engaging activities inspired by this year's theme Symphony of Stories, including the search for Golden Tickets. Seven Golden Tickets were hidden around the school each day, with lucky students who found them able to choose a brand-new book to take home. The excitement each morning was contagious as students searched high and low for a winning ticket!

Students were involved in colouring in competitions, word searches and quizzes as well as virtual sessions with well-known Australian authors Andy Lee and Matt Stanton.

We were also fortunate to enjoy a wonderful Police Band Incursion, spending an afternoon in the sunshine listening to movie theme songs while learning important road safety messages and bike, scooter and skateboard safety tips.

A special thank you to our incredible Library Services Officers, Sonia and Monique, who put so much thought, time and effort into making Book Week such a memorable experience for our students. You have created a week filled with excitement, learning and a love of reading. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

Today, the students from 5H and 5V joined our parish community for the 9am Mass to celebrate the Feast of St Augustine, one of the Church’s great teachers whose life reminds us of the power of faith and personal transformation.

We were proud to see two students from our 2025 Sacramental Program assist Fr Long Hai as altar servers, and for the first time, wear albs, helping to mark the significance of their service to our parish community.

We were thrilled to spot Albert's photo on a billboard as part of the Catholic Education Week campaign.

Albert's smiling face is proudly featured on a billboard representing not only Tenison Woods Catholic School but also Catholic Education South Australia.

Thank you, Albert, for representing our school community and Catholic Education SA with such pride.

Book Week 2026 📖✨
Despite having to quickly pivot and adjust our plans this morning due to the weather, our Book Week Parade was a wonderful success. Our students and staff embraced the change, and it was fantastic to see our whole school community come together, proving that a little rain couldn't dampen our Book Week spirit!

The creativity on display was incredible, with students proudly showcasing their wonderful costumes inspired by this year's theme, A Symphony of Stories. We were also excited to celebrate our first seven Golden Ticket finders today. Each lucky student gets to choose a book of their choice from Mr. Cat's office, where there is quite the selection. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Book Week parade such a success!

Have You Spotted Kimberley Yet?

As part of Catholic Schools Open Week 2026, our very own Kimberley in Reception is helping showcase Catholic education across Adelaide with her photo on 4 bus shelters.

So far, we've tracked down Kimberley's smiling face at Stop 2, Greenhill Road, Stop 13, Magill Road and on Cross Road but there's still one bus stop location we haven't found yet!

We're calling on our wonderful TWCS community to keep your eyes peeled while you're out and about. If you spot Kimberley's photo on the remaining bus shelter, snap a photo and share it in the comments below.

Kimberley was thrilled to visit a few of the bus stops and see herself featured as part of this year's campaign!
