We are proud to share that our school has been recognised among the Top 100 Private Primary Schools in South Australia, placing 36th overall! This honour is a great endorsement of the incredible work across our entire community — our leadership team, teachers, support staff, students, and families who together create a vibrant environment focused on learning, wellbeing, and connection.

The recognition is based on a range of important measures, including NAPLAN results, student attendance, class sizes, and community demographics, highlighting our strong commitment to both academic excellence and student engagement.

We are grateful to the City of West Torrens for their kind words of congratulations and ongoing support of our school community. Thank you to everyone who contributes to making Tenison Woods Catholic School such a special place to learn and grow.

Aerobics Team Success!
Our School Aerobics teams performed brilliantly over the weekend at the FISAF Australia Super Series event. These events provide Australian athletes with a fantastic opportunity to compete and receive valuable written judge feedback ahead of the upcoming State Championships, and our teams certainly made the most of it! A huge congratulations to Katie, Carisa and Chloe on their guidance and support of our talented students, and to our incredible teams for their outstanding achievements:

Tic Tacs – 1st Place
Limitless Legends – 1st Place
The Movers – 3rd Place

We are so proud of your hard work, teamwork and dedication. An amazing effort, Congratulations to all our dedicated TWCS competitors.

This morning, our PACE Committee hosted Mother’s Day Breakfast to celebrate the incredible mums and mother figures in our school community. Families gathered to enjoy delicious pastries, students enjoyed hot chocolates, and the coffee van was once again a crowd favourite! Thank you to our Aerobics Teams for the special performances, it was a joy to see them perform with such enthusiasm. Celebrations continued with a heartfelt Mother’s Day Liturgy led by our reception classes, reminding us all of the love, care, and strength our mums show every day. As the first community event organised under the new PACE model, we are grateful to everyone who contributed to making the morning such a welcoming and memorable occasion

Our House Leaders recently attended the SACPSSA Students Leadership Conference at St Michaels College. TWCS Leaders worked with students from other Catholic Schools to learn about Leadership in schools and how they can use PE to improve their skills and continue be a positive role model in our community. They will use these skills and knowledge to implement activities through the rest of the year.
