What an incredible Term we have had at The Art School creating EXPRESSIVE LANDSCAPES!! Encouraging the students to push out of their comfort zone a little and work in a more expressive approach, rather than seeming to achieve “realism” has been very well received and the results are fantastic!!! Here are just some of the paintings.

TERM 1 is off to a great start with out focus bring on EXPRESSIVE LANDSCAPES… a great way to loosen up and be expressive is with my “long stick brushes”. It’s fun, it’s unpredictable and a great warm up exercise to get us going. How exciting are these quick 10 min studies !

Last Friday night we opened the Art School Biannual Exhibition. Such a huge crowd came along to see the fabulous artwork on the walls at Hughes Gallery, Fullarton. I’m very excited to announce that Sarah McDonalds Art School is opening their Biannual Exhibition this Friday Night. Opening at 6pm at Hughes Gallery, 411 Fullarton Rd, Fullarton. It is going to be a stunning showcase of the talent coming out of the School. All of the works showing are no larger than 40cm x 40cm and in an affordable price point. You might like to start your Art Collection purchasing one of these stunning paintings!!
