Silver Fleece is an Australian-owned knitwear manufacturer, built from yarn to finished garment right here in Adelaide.

We're looking for someone who's hands-on with construction, sampling and fit, comfortable with clients and the factory floor alike, and genuinely passionate about Australian manufacturing and natural fibres.

3–5+ years in apparel product development, knitwear or manufacturing preferred.

Cricket demands patience from both player and garment.

Long before synthetic fabrics entered sport, wool provided something no laboratory could engineer — warmth, breathability, durability, and natural comfort across a full day's play.

Wool regulated temperature as conditions changed. It resisted odour through repeated wear. It moved with the body and recovered its shape.

The result was a garment built for performance long before performance apparel became a category.

Silver Fleece has been knitting Australian cricket jumpers since 1978 over 40 years — the same construction, the same 100% Australian worsted Merino wool, still made in Bowden, Adelaide.

100% Australian worsted Merino wool — the fibre Silver Fleece has built every cricket jumper from for over 40 years.

Naturally breathable. Thermoregulating. Antimicrobial. OEKO-TEX certified safe next to skin.

The body knitted from 100% Australian worsted Merino. The colour stripes from an 80% Merino / 20% nylon blend — built for the points of most wear.

Before performance fabrics, cricket had wool. Turns out, wool was the performance fabric all along.
