Thought it may be time to share a little about your teacher ~ me! I'm Ange and I appreciate the role of art in the human experience and our evolution. I think art has the power to illuminate, guide, motivate, spark, prompt, cherish, support, entertain, enliven, inform, nurse, appeal, remind, shock, unite, comfort...and discomfort. And more.

Here, my is made with my 2018 total of just over 5000 LITTERED zipties. The same total I use for all my ziptie portraits. BC I am a . I use my teaching background to grow the curiosity of young and old so that they might connect more to their environment...the habitat we share with the animal and plant world...and to build empathy for it. In a changing world...an environmental pressure cooker...we need more and more ways to safely, impactfully, comfortingly and courageously communicate our cares, concerns, joys and sorrows. Art has always done this for us. More, and sustainably, is my vision!

The rest of the 40,000 LITTERED zipties (or parts thereof) that I have collected are used for sculptures and teaching. Infact, I'm travelling with a teaching LITTERED ziptie kit right now. Oh and people all over the world send me pictures when they see a LITTERED ziptie where they live. Please do same. I collate them to celebrate over on my artist account . And of course my art has grown beyond plastic litter as an art material. Sustainably.
Nice to meet you 😁

Hi awesome, curious, earth-loving people. Please forgive my absence. Sometimes in life you're given an opportunity and it may be dressed as a hurdle or worse but an opportunity it is. Faced with such a hiccup (or gap) in our normal everyday circumstance...we bought a home on wheels and drove away for a spell❣️ Every intention of growing this beautiful passion project of a business came with us but it took some months to settle in (& fix everything in a secondhand camper as we went!, beat the early heat building up to a northern wet season, and get some overdue parenting presence in to play❣️❣️❣️...so now here I am...growing this here!

However if you've met me you'll not be surprised that all along, I've done MUCH to grow the curiosity, knowledge, skills and dispositions of young learners. More and more habitat loving, wildlife empathetic, powerful and creative communicators in the world can only be a good thing. As are winding roads, sun up and sun down, not knowing what's around the corner...and the beauty of nature, of which we are part. The national Early Years education framework speaks of students being part of a larger eco-system. It is my belief that all curriculums will follow suit in the near future. All the way to tertiary and adult education. Because we are❣️

Here's some of the joy we've had with others in the Northern Territory. And some of the Thorny Devil artwork created. Exploring science and visual arts through local wildlife, habitat, art materials and processes and sustainability.
This is my breath❣️
And it's great to finally sit and share it with you❣️❣️❣️
