Virtual War Memorial Australia - Schools Program

The Virtual War Memorial Schools Program is an exciting teaching opportunity involving a partnership between the Department for Education (SA) and the Virtual War Memorial Australia. The partnership has been built around the use of the Virtual War Memorial for teaching and learning activities that relate specifically to the Australian Curriculum: History in Years 9 and 10, and Civics and Citizenship at Year 10.

There are, however, opportunities for all teachers to be involved with our work. In addition to teachers of HASS, teachers of Research Project and Research Practices, English, Aboriginal Studies, Community Studies, Cross-Disciplinary Studies, Modern History, Society and Culture, and Women’s Studies may find our site helpful for their students.

Teachers of these subjects may also like to join our community of practice and take part in our professional learning events. We also welcome involvement by primary school teachers.
