"So I take this word Reconciliation and I use it to reconcile people back to Mother Earth, so they can walk this land together and heal one another because she's the one that gives birth to everything we see around us, everything we need to survive"
Max Dulumunmun Harrison
As we continue our journey in exploring how we can embed Aboriginal perspectives into our pedagogy, we continued our conversation with the children, families and U.Ivan Tiwu-Copley.
U. Ivan Tiwu-Copkey is of Aboriginal descent from the Peramangk people, the Kaurna people of the Adelaide plains and the Minang peopk of Western Austraila. He has worked with the staff team and today we went for a walk in our local community and to our favourite playground. We learnt about sticky w**d and peppercorn from local trees. We hope to continue to explore the land and learn more about ground covers, trees and indigenous plants.
