Do you ever feel like you'll be chasing the answers to music for the rest of your life?
That no matter how many lessons you take, books you read, or pieces you learn, there always seems to be another mystery waiting around the corner?
I used to think music was impossibly complicated.
What I've discovered is that music is actually a system.
A logical one.
And once you begin to understand how it's put together, something remarkable happens.
You stop staring at notes.
You start seeing patterns.
You stop trying to remember every detail.
You start understanding why things work.
You stop feeling dependent on the page.
You begin feeling free.
But perhaps the greatest gift isn't musical at all.
It's the feeling of reconnecting with a part of yourself that may have been waiting quietly for years.
The part that loves music.
The part that lights up when you play.
The part that remembers who you are.
If that sounds like something you've been longing for, message with the word CLARITY and let's have a conversation.

Like many people, I was fascinated watching CJ on the ABC show 'The Piano' recently.
Not because he has become insanely successful.
Not because he performed on television.
And not because he's now preparing to perform on some of Australia's biggest stages.
What fascinated me most was something else entirely.
His story confirms something I've believed for many years.
There is more than one way to learn music.
CJ's success wasn't built on a traditional note-reading-first approach. It was built on understanding music, recognising patterns and learning how music fits together from the very beginning.
And that's important.
Because for decades we've been told there is only one "proper" way to learn piano.
CJ's story suggests otherwise.
Many people have assumed that becoming a capable musician requires years of hard work before you're allowed to experience the joy of simply making music.
It shows what can happen when seeing music as connected ideas rather than thousands of individual notes becomes part of the learning process from the very beginning.
Instead of spending years trying to memorise endless pieces of information, students begin to recognise the relationships that make music work. What once appeared complicated starts to feel logical. What once felt overwhelming becomes surprisingly simple. And rather than seeing music as a collection of disconnected notes, they begin to understand how it all fits together.
That understanding changes everything.
Because so many adults returning to the piano quietly carry a story that, although they can still play a little, they aren't one of those 'natural' musicians. That they failed. That they should have tried harder. That they simply don't have what it takes.
But what if that was never the problem?
What if the issue wasn't ability?
What if it was simply the pathway?
Over the years I've watched countless adults experience breakthroughs when they stop trying to laboriously trudge through reading individual notes and start understanding how music fits together.
Suddenly chords make sense.
Patterns begin to appear.
Songs become easier to learn.
And the piano starts feeling enjoyable rather than frustrating.
That's exactly why I created the Music on Steroids experience.
Not to teach traditionally.
But to help people finally see the bigger picture.
Because when music makes sense, everything changes.
Music on Steroids begins this Wednesday.

βThatβs a really good diagram,β
exclaimed one of my students just the other day as she closely studied a βmapβ of music I had put together for her. This student is a 40+ year school teacher so across the science of learning well!
I sat there feeling simultaneously bemused and thrilled watching her as she kept looking at it. I could almost hear numerous pennies dropping inside her mind.
Music on Steroids begins next Wednesday, 3rd June.
And if youβve been sitting quietly on the fence wondering whether this might be the right time to do something different with your piano playing, I wanted to send a little reminder before we begin.
One of the things I hear most often from adults returning to piano is
βI wish someone had shown me this years ago.β
Not because they werenβt capable.
Not because they didnβt practise.
But because they were taught to play notes rather than understand music.
Music on Steroids was created for people who want more than simply learning pieces. Itβs for people who want to understand what theyβre looking at. To see patterns, sequences and chords where they once saw complexity. To sit at the piano and have music begin to make sense in a completely different way.
Over five weeks, youβll discover a more intuitive approach to music built around understanding harmony and musical freedom.
For many students, it becomes the moment they finally stop feeling dependent on the sheet music and start seeing how music actually fits together.
And once you see it
you canβt unsee it.
The program begins next Wednesday, June 3rd.
So if youβve been thinking
βMaybe later.β
I would gently encourage you to consider whether later has already been long enough.
Because six months from now, youβll either be glad you started or youβll still be wondering what might have happened if you had.
If youβd like to explore whether Music on Steroids is right for you before we begin next week, simply message
