In the last week of July, our IB Diploma students headed off for our annual IBDP Camp. The camp is an opportunity for students to engage in CAS activities (creativity, activity, service) as well a taking a much deserved break after the mid-year exam period before heading into the final stretch.

On Saturday 18 August the Norwood International Rowing Club put on it's annual Quiz Night event to fundraise for the rowing program. This year was a smashing success with 25 tables competing in for the winning title and prizes.

Come and Try - Sunday 30th August at West Lakes!

This Sunday we will be hosting a rowing come and try at our West Lakes boatshed located at 100 Military Rd, for students interested in joining rowing.

The session will run from 9:00am - 11:00am.

Next week is BOOK WEEK!

We will be having a Dress up Day on Friday 28 August as well as other fun activities throughout the week.

While students are encouraged to dress up in the spirit of Book Week, casual clothes are also accepted. All costumes must be school appropriate.

Any student not in uniform must bring either a gold coin donation (proceeds to the Indigenous Literacy Fund) or a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Puddle Jumpers Food Pantry.

2026 Parent survey – Have your say

The annual Parent Survey is now underway and will close at midnight on Sunday 6 September.

The survey provides parents and carers with an opportunity to share their views and help improve education at our school. It focuses on:

- What we’re doing well
- Where we can improve
- What is important to you as a parent or carer

Your responses are confidential. Neither you nor your child can be identified, and only collated feedback is provided to our school.

You should have already received a link to the survey via email or SMS. Reminder messages are also being sent unless you have already completed the survey or chosen to unsubscribe.

We strongly encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your feedback is valuable and helps guide our school improvement efforts.

3-PEAT OVERALL WINNERS! 🏆
The NIHS Drumline has done it again! We are officially 1st Place Advanced Winners and OVERALL DRUMLINE WINNERS at the ABODA Festival for the 3rd year in a row! 🥇🥇🥇
With ABODA expanding into two sections today and competition at an all-time high, taking out the top spot took pure grit and precision. From showcase performances at Head of the River and the AGSA Biannual Opening to weekly after-hours rehearsals, all the hard work paid off when it mattered most.
Massive congratulations to our performers, instructors, and incredible support system of families! 💙
