Stage 1 Biology Terrariums

Earlier this year, our Stage 1 Biology students got hands-on with their learning by designing and creating their own terrariums!

The activity gave students the opportunity to explore ecosystems, sustainability and the interactions between living and non-living components in a practical and creative way.

A huge thank you to our amazing students and staff for making last Friday’s Pyjama Day and Canned Food Drive such a success in support of the Hutt Street Centre.

It was fantastic to see everyone getting into the spirit by wearing their pyjamas while also donating canned food to help people in our community doing it tough. Your generosity, kindness and willingness to support others will make a real difference.

A big thank you to everyone who donated, dressed up and helped make the day such a great success!

Welcome back to Term 3!

What a fantastic first week it has been! We were honoured to have Uncle Mickey join us for a meaningful Welcome to Country, our Year 11 students embraced their Semester 2 orientation activities, and we wrapped up the week with an exciting trip to Monarto Safari Park.

A big thank you to our students, staff, and families for making it such a positive and memorable start to the term.

Wishing everyone a well-deserved rest over the weekend. We look forward to seeing you all next week!

Congratulations on completing Semester 1!

What a fantastic achievement! We are incredibly proud of the hard work, determination, and resilience our students have shown throughout the semester.

Now it’s time to relax, recharge, and enjoy a well-deserved break – you’ve earned it!

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3 on Monday 21st July, refreshed and ready for another great term ahead.

During National Reconciliation Week students and staff participated in a range of activities that celebrated the richness of the world’s oldest living culture and encouraged understanding of Australia’s true history through reflection and relearning.

Highlights included student social actions focused on Aboriginal owned and operated businesses, shared lunches, a film screening of Mungo, and an inspiring presentation from Joy Makepeace, who shared her experiences, knowledge, and perspectives with our community.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the week such a meaningful opportunity to take steps towards a journey of healing and truth telling and continue our commitment to reconciliation.

This week the Stage 2 Business Innovation class visited to gain a real-world understanding of how an established business operates.

Experiences such as these provide students with valuable opportunities to connect classroom learning with industry practice. During the visit, students explored how Haigh’s structures its operations, engages with customers, and maintains its position as one of Australia’s most recognised chocolate brands.

Thank you to Janet and the team at Haigh’s for providing an engaging and informative experience for our students.

This week we recognised IDAHOBIT at Muirden Senior College, standing together against discrimination and celebrating inclusion, respect, and belonging for all.

Welcome back everyone! We hope you all had a relaxing and well-deserved break over the holidays.

We kicked off Term 2 with our annual Year 12 Retreat, a fantastic day filled with connection, laughter, reflection, and valuable sessions focused on future pathways, careers, university, and life beyond school.

It was wonderful to see students building stronger connections, supporting one another, and embracing the opportunities ahead as they begin this important term.

Here’s to a positive and productive Term 2.
