It was an afternoon full of fun, food, and games with both old and new families and team members gracing the event as 1st Impressions celebrated its milestone of reaching 6 fruitful years!

We recognised the efforts of our outstanding team for their huge impact on the 1st Impressions children’s early years and development and for nurturing and moulding them into their best, competent, and confident versions! We highlighted Mr. Steve Green and Mrs. Carol Ludlow who were significant in our journey as our senior adviser and English teacher respectively. We thank you for sharing your expertise to the 1st Impressions team and children!

We also thanked the amazing parents who have been actively supporting and collaborating with 1st Impressions in these past few years for helping us grow into the successful education and care service that we are today.

1st Impressions ELC has positions available for Educators with Certificate III or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education in Care!

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
-Educators with Certificate 3 or Diploma
-preferably with experience in the child care setting and with experience in teaching Mandarin, Arts, or Music
-A current WWCC, Child Safe Environments, and First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis certifications
-Valid working rights/visa
-A commitment to respectful, child-led practice and continuous learning
-Passion for building genuine relationships with children, families, and teams
-Be available to work across Mondays to Fridays 6:30 am to 6:30 pm

🚒 Fire Station Fun! 🔥

On 12th May, our little explorers had an unforgettable excursion to the Prospect Fire Station!
They sat in a real fire truck 🚒, chatted with friendly firefighters 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒, and got a close look at the tools and maps used in real emergencies.

It was a fun and hands-on way to learn about fire safety and the important role our firefighters play in the community. Big thanks to the Prospect Fire Station for such a warm welcome!

🌳 Excursion Spotlight – Memorial Park Adventure! 🌞

Our Pre-Kindy children had an amazing day of outdoor fun at Memorial Park! They climbed up into the big treehouse, enjoyed thrilling slides, and played creatively in the sandpit. 🛝🌿

Afterward, we all enjoyed a relaxing picnic, taking advantage of the warm weather and fresh air before the colder season begins. What a wonderful day of fun, friends, and sunshine! ☀️🧺😊

🎉 Excursion Highlight – Sea Stars Play Cafe! 🌟

Our Pre-Kindy and Pre-Reception classes had a fantastic adventure at Sea Stars Play Cafe! 🛝🏐 The children loved climbing big slides, diving into the ball pit, and tackling fun obstacle courses, all of which boosted their motor skills and confidence. 🤸‍♂️✨

It was heartwarming to see our little ones making new friends, cooperating during play, and sharing joyful laughter. Of course, they also enjoyed yummy snacks after all the fun! 🍎🍪

🍞👩‍🍳 Cooking Up Confidence with Chef Kajal! 👨‍🍳🥣

This Term (January–March),our little chefs at 1st Impressions ELC have been busy mixing, baking, and creating in the kitchen with our wonderful Chef Kajal!

Each week, children explore ingredients, learn basic cooking skills, and try dishes from different cuisines — all while having loads of fun. These sessions are more than just tasty treats — they help build confidence, independence, and healthy food habits from a young age.

What an exciting day at 1st Impressions! 🚒

On March 17, our little learners were thrilled to meet real firefighters from the SA Metropolitan Fire Service! They got to hold the hose, crawl under smoke, and learn how to call 000 in an emergency.

The highlight? Exploring the fire truck up close and asking curious questions!

🎉🌏 Harmony Week Celebrations! 🌏🎉

What a wonderful Harmony Week we had at 1st Impressions! On 21st March, educators and children wore beautiful traditional outfits and read the delightful book, "All Around the World."

We also enjoyed delicious snacks from Australia, India, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Yum! 🍪🍜

🌈🦜 What a Wonderful Parrot Day! 🦜🌈
Our Pre-Kindy friends had an amazing time visiting some very special parrots on the 14th of March! They loved seeing the parrots' beautiful colours, listening to their cheerful noises, and giggling at the parrots that waved hello! 👋 It was a fantastic, fun-filled day of discovery and adventure!

How did everyone beat the heat yesterday? ☀️ Our Plodder and Pre-Kindy children did some water play activities to help them cool down! Water play has so many amazing benefits for early childhood education such as opportunity for sensory exploration, improving fine motor skills, and development of children's language, social interaction and imagination!
