LEA Christian Studies Leaders Day
LEQ workshop day: 27 May 2026
27 Christian Studies and Curriculum Leaders in metropolitan and regional schools from Queensland attended LEQ together for a full day of professional learning on the new Christian Studies Curriculum. They had a sneak peek of the new curriculum, discussed connections and wonderings for their own contexts, and began to map out a leadership plan.
A huge thank you to all LEQ School Leadership Teams for enabling these people to attend, network and engage in this important day of learning.
Our group photo is in front of the LEVNT and LESNW group photos from the past week.

The Board of Lutheran Education Australia (BLEA) recently gathered at Eastside Lutheran College, Hobart, Tasmania for a time to connect, reflect and continue shaping the future of Lutheran education across Australia.
Surrounded by a community committed to learning, faith and service, the gathering was a reminder that Lutheran education is about far more than classrooms. It is about nurturing young people in hope, purpose and the love of Christ. ✝
Thanks to Head of Primary (Melanie Agustina) and Head of Secondary (Kim Mooney) for their warm welcome and including us in school worship.
We continue to pray for the Eastside Community as they celebrate learning and the Gospel together. 🙏
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

This week in Adelaide, more than 3000 people gathered for the 2026 National Reconciliation Week Breakfast - a powerful expression of community, hope and our shared commitment to reconciliation.
Thank you to Lutheran Education South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia (LESNW) for hosting Lutheran Education Australia (LEA) at this significant event. It was inspiring to see students and staff from Lutheran learning communities across Adelaide gathered alongside community leaders, educators and organisations in the spirit of this year’s theme, All In.
The morning created space for listening, learning, truth-telling and connection - reminding us that reconciliation is built through relationships and the courage to walk together.
As Lutheran education communities, we are committed to nurturing places where every person is known, valued and included, and where young people are encouraged to help shape a more hopeful, just and reconciled future for all.
