Congratulations to (left) for receiving the UniSA Nicholas Opie Award in Design and Construction 2021, presented by Joti Weijers-Coghlan.
This award recognises the significant contribution Bradley made to Design Construct in 2021, which involved developing components of the prototype ablutions block for - Well done!

Following the installation of the roof, the 6mm clear acrylic louvres were installed: lightweight, easy to transport and cut with a regular timber saw.

Laying down the rolled corrugated sheets of the butterfly roof over the showers. The plywood box in the gutter was a temporary measure to hold the roof sheets in position while fixing into place.

The corrugated internal wall lining and exposed galvanised plumbing maintain an agricultural aesthetic for this rural shower. Remote and robust.

It was a quick scramble with the plumber on site to get the gas connections, boiler and shower supply plumbing done in a day.

Next steps: install prefab end walls and box gutter (500mm wide so you can get a broom in there!)

Back on site it was a race to get the slatted shower floor in before the rest of the walls went up.
