NETBALL CHAMPIONS โ€“ THREE IN A ROW! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†

A huge congratulations to our incredible Girls KO Netball Team, who were crowned Statewide Knockout Champions for Medium Schools on Friday!

Our girls have been outstanding throughout the entire competition, producing a flawless campaign and showing tremendous skill, teamwork and determination every step of the way. In the Grand Final, Fulham North faced St Leonards Primary and delivered another fantastic performance, coming away with an impressive 9 goal victory to claim the State Championship.

Remarkably, this is now the third consecutive year that Fulham North has won the Statewide KO Netball title, an incredible achievement and one that our entire school community can be extremely proud of. To win once is fantastic, but to remain champions for three years in a row is a wonderful reflection of the talent, commitment and team spirit of our students.

Well done to all of our netball superstars on an amazing achievement and for representing Fulham North so brilliantly throughout the competition.

A special thank you must also go to all of the parents and families who have assisted with transport, supported the girls from the sidelines and helped make the campaign possible. Your support throughout the competition has been greatly appreciated.

Congratulations, champions! ๐Ÿ†

๐Ÿ† District Athletics Champions!

Congratulations to the 40 students who ventured to SA Athletics Stadium last week to compete in the District Athletics Carnival.

Our students had been practising for many weeks in the lead-up to the event, and wow, did it show! We are incredibly proud to announce that once again, we were crowned the Champion School! ๐Ÿ†

A special mention goes to the following students, who were selected to represent the Airport District team following their outstanding results on the day:

Phoenix, Elodie, Mia, Adam, Bradee, Indie, Leo M, Issy, Ishka, Mae, Cristian, Lukas, Leni, James SP and Nixie.

Congratulations to all of these students, and we wish them the very best of luck at the State Championships on 3 September.

๐Ÿ KO Netball

This Friday, our netballers will play in the Grand Final of the KO competition, with our girls striving for an incredible third championship in a row!

It is a fantastic achievement to once again reach the Grand Final. Good luck, girls!

๐Ÿ€ KO Basketball

Continuing our great run of success, last week both our boys' and girls' basketball teams won all of their games to progress to the final stages of the KO Basketball Championships on 22 October.

This is a fantastic result for both teams. A special thank you to Corrine and Jacob for coaching the teams and supporting our students throughout the competition.

Well done to everyone involved!

๐Ÿ‰ KO Footy

And to top off our fantastic run of form, both our boys' and girls' KO football teams have progressed to the Grand Final!

Our girls took on local rivals Grange in their semi-final and came away with a terrific win. Indie W had a day out, kicking six goals to continue her stellar season.

This week, our boys ventured to Port Wakefield to take on a very talented and tall Maitland Lutheran School side. In an outstanding display of resilience in very wet conditions, our boys fought hard after trailing for most of the game.

Two goals down at the final change, they stepped up when it mattered most, producing a brilliant final quarter to secure a nine-point victory. Well done, lads!

Both teams will now play Stella Maris in the Grand Final on 22 September.

Let's go, Owls! ๐Ÿฆ‰

๐Ÿ’™ Happy National Principalsโ€™ Day ๐Ÿ’™

Today our Year 2 students helped us celebrate our wonderful leadership team by sharing all the things they appreciate about our principals, what they think they get up to all day ๐Ÿ‘€ and, perhaps most importantly, what they would do if they were Principal for a Day ๐Ÿ˜‚

There were plenty of thoughtful answers, some very creative ideas and lots of laughs along the way.

We sadly missed Mr Rawlings today, who is away unwell, but we made sure he was still very much part of our celebrations!

A big thank you to our principals for everything they do for our students, staff and school community each and every day๐ŸŒŸ

Some incredible SAPSASA achievements by our Mighty Owls recently, with several students selected to represent the Airport team across a variety of sports.

Noah B was a member of the Airport Softball team, which dominated the competition throughout the week, remaining undefeated and earning a well-deserved Gold Medal. A fantastic achievement and reward for Noah's hard work and dedication. Congratulations, Noah!

In Week 5, Bradee, Cristian, Harley, Adam and Leo LS were selected in the Airport Division 1 Football team. Coincidentally, the boys entered the final match of the tournament undefeated, facing a City South side that was also undefeated. With the winner to be awarded the Gold Medal, the stage was set for a thrilling contest.

Airport trailed by 14 points at half-time but produced a remarkable comeback, kicking the winning goal with less than a minute remaining. It was a match the boys will remember for a lifetime and a joyful memory to accompany their Gold Medals. Congratulations, lads!

Last week, the SAPSASA Cross Country Championships were held at Oakbank, and conditions were certainly challenging, with plenty of wind and rain. Congratulations to Mae, Evie, Archer, Adam, Leo, Summer, Elodie and Fraser for braving the wintery weather and representing our school with pride.

A special mention goes to Elodie and Summer, who finished 8th and 12th in the state respectively. Their outstanding performances earned them a Team Gold Medal for Airport and secured State Team nominations. An exceptional achievement, well done, girls!

Fulham North has a number of other students representing Airport in upcoming SAPSASA events, and we look forward to sharing their results and celebrating their achievements in the weeks ahead. ๐Ÿฆ‰๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ†
