Halfway there, Class of 2026💙
A cold, wet June evening in Adelaide couldn't dampen the spirit of our Year 12s as they gathered with their families and teachers to celebrate the halfway point of their final year at school.

With Wyatt Hall transformed into a cosy, lounge-style setting, students enjoyed a fun-filled evening complete with a photo booth, caricature artist, donut truck and plenty of laughter.

While the activities were a highlight, it was the chance to come together and reflect on the journey so far that made the evening truly special. The Year 12 Halfway Celebration is one of those moments that reminds us that Year 12 is not just about exams and results, but about growth, resilience, friendships and the community that supports our students along the way.

To our Class of 2026, we're so proud of everything you've achieved so far and can't wait to see what the second half of your final year brings.

Pulteney proudly joined SAAS, IGSSA and School Sport SA in recognising National Reconciliation Week 2026 through a meaningful display of support across our sporting community.

This year’s theme, "All In," is a reminder that reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility.

Sport has a special way of bringing people together. Whether on the field, on the sidelines, being “All In” means showing respect, listening, learning and standing together.

A big thank you to our Grounds Team, Sports Department, coaches and players who came together to support this important initiative.

Founded in 1847, Pulteney Grammar School has a rich history shaped by generations of students, staff, families and Old Scholars.

At this year's Founders' Day Assembly on 29 May, we were proud to introduce the inaugural Navy Blue Oration, a new tradition celebrating leadership, service and the lifelong impact of a Pulteney education.

The first Navy Blue Orator was Old Scholar Lucy Sara (Class of 2016), whose inspiring journey from School Captain to Officer in the Royal Australian Navy reflects the values of courage, service and leadership that continue to define our community. Lucy shared reflections on connection, belonging and the opportunities that have shaped her path since graduating from Pulteney, encouraging current students to embrace the many possibilities that lie ahead.

Thank you, Lucy, for helping launch what promises to become a valued Founders' Day tradition and for demonstrating what it means to be Navy Blue.

Pulteney’s Bush Kindy/Yartangka program has become one of the most treasured parts of life in our Early Learning Centre. Through fortnightly sessions in Blue Gum Park / Kurangga, South Parklands, children are learning on Kaurna Country.

From spotting Rain moths and birdlife to listening to cultural stories and learning about native plants, Yartangka encourages children to connect, explore and play in the natural world.

As Deputy Principal Deb Dalwood shared, “Having the parklands on our doorstep is incredibly special. It gives children a unique experience to explore both the city and the outdoors.”

We are proud to see Yartangka continue to grow across the School community, helping children slow down, explore, and enjoy nature. 🍃🍃🍃

From branding and marketing their own student-run café to managing the business operations behind the scenes, our Year 10 Creative Industries students are gaining hands-on experience in what it takes to build and run a real enterprise. ☕️

Over two days of Principal’s Tours this week, students welcomed and served more than 150 guests through the Lane Way Café, while also applying real-world skills in customer service, teamwork, finance and entrepreneurship.

Working alongside senior student mentors, students brought their learning to life in an authentic environment and our visitors loved seeing it in action.

Combined with our incredible student leaders welcoming and guiding guests through the School, it was another reminder that our students are Pulteney’s greatest ambassadors.
