In omnibus Caritas
In my work as an educator and performing arts coordinator, I am reminded daily that in all things, love 💖 in omnibus caritas, is at the heart of what we do. Through Music, Drama, and Dance within the Australian Curriculum, I see students discover confidence, creativity, and joy.
The performing arts at St John the Baptist School are more than events; they are moments where God’s light shines through our community. From carols concerts to whole school productions, from instrumental concerts to the Catholic Schools Music Festival, I witness students share their gifts with open hearts.
This vocation is a blessing. Each lesson, rehearsal, each performance, each small moment of courage reminds me that creativity is a gift from God and guiding students to shine is a privilege filled with passion, joy, and love.
With light & love,
Ms Loretta De Palma✨💖🎶

Leaves drift like whispered promises, brushing the earth with gold as though nature is composing its own quiet overture. The air carries that unmistakable coolness, the kind that makes every sound feel clearer, every note more honest.
Among these glowing trees, I stand with my violin, letting each phrase rise into the crisp air. The bow draws across the strings, and the melody becomes a tapestry woven from the warmth of the season, the hush of falling leaves, and the gentle wonder of this place. In these moments, I’m not just playing music; I’m part of the landscape, part of the breath of autumn itself.
To perform here, especially for weddings and celebrations wrapped in autumn’s embrace, is to witness love framed by nature’s most tender colours. The soft rustle of leaves becomes a natural accompaniment, the filtered sunlight a spotlight more delicate than any stage could offer. Every chord becomes a reflection of the season’s beauty, every harmony a reminder of how fleeting and precious these moments are.
Before the rain arrives, before the skies deepen into their moody greys, there is a stillness that feels sacred. It’s in this stillness that music finds its truest shape. The violin sings differently in autumn, warmer, more nostalgic, as though it remembers every love story it has ever played for.
In Adelaide, autumn isn’t just a time of year; it is the most expressive season, a living canvas where love, music, and nature breathe as one. And as the first drops of rain begin to fall, soft as fingertips on a drum, the melody lingers in the air a moment longer, carrying the golden glow of the season forward into whatever comes next.
With love & light,
Loretta✨💖🎶
