🌱 ATASA Connect & Celebrate 2026 🌱

Today agricultural educators from across South Australia have gathered for our Connect & Celebrate event.

We’re kicking things off with a behind-the-scenes tour of Coopers Brewery, exploring one of South Australia’s most iconic production businesses and gaining valuable insights into manufacturing, sustainability, logistics and value-adding within the food and beverage industry.

The day is all about connecting with colleagues, strengthening professional networks, sharing ideas and learning from industry leaders. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate agricultural education and continue building our knowledge to inspire the next generation of agricultural professionals.

Looking forward to a great day of industry immersion, collegial exchange and celebration.

Another module for a great farm safety resource

🚜⚙️ SHIFTING GEARS to Improve Farm Safety – Education Resources for Teachers 👩‍🏫🌾

Shifting Gears is an innovative, teacher-led farm safety education program designed specifically for schools. It aims to build a culture of safety among young people – particularly those living on farms, studying agriculture or horticulture, or considering careers in agriculture. 🚜🦺

👂 New hearing health module now available

A new hearing health module has recently been created in partnership between the National Centre for Farmer Health and the DEAFNESS FORUM Australia. The new resource includes three additional activities and suggested discussions, along with a brand-new video that focuses on how hearing works, safe vs damaging levels of noise, and practical ways to limit or avoid exposure to prevent noise-induced hearing loss. 🎧🔊

📚 What Shifting Gears offers educators

Shifting Gears provides flexible, classroom-ready resources that are easy to integrate into existing teaching programs. The evidence-based materials support educators to deliver practical farm safety education tailored to rural and regional students. 🌱👨‍🌾

🌟 Deliver Shifting Gears in your classroom

Educators can access the resources and explore the new hearing health module online. Discover more about Shifting Gears at: https://buff.ly/rVH5HYo
