It's good to have the new Pianophonics page up and running. Over time I'd like to see it become a significant go-to place for piano teaching ideas. The central focus is the Pianophonics method - basically a total re-think of beginner piano - which you can find more about (and even buy :) here:

But (to misquote The Castle) let's start with the general before moving on to the more specific... this excerpt from the notes to Pianophonics 1st ed., giving something of a rationale for learning piano in the first place:
"Music is ultimately a sublime conversation à trois, between harmony, rhythm and melody.Think of the harmony as enveloped in mystery, like the celestial music of the spheres, all but inaudible to earthly ears.
