What a wonderful celebration of stories, imagination and creativity! Our Book Week Parades were filled with incredible costumes, favourite characters and plenty of smiles as students brought the pages of their favourite books to life. From timeless classics to modern adventures, the creativity and enthusiasm on display made for a truly memorable celebration.

Book Week is a special opportunity to inspire a love of reading and to recognise the power of books to spark curiosity, imagination and learning. It was wonderful to see students of all ages embracing the stories that have shaped and inspired them.

A heartfelt thank you to our students for their creativity, our staff for making the day so special, and our families for the time and effort put into creating such fantastic costumes. Together, you helped bring the magic of reading to life and made Book Week 2026 a celebration to remember!

A select group of Year 8's and 9's recently visited the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) as part of the Discovering Greatness talent search program. It was an exciting opportunity to test our students' skills and athletic potential across a range of sports, including rowing, volleyball, rock climbing, basketball, swimming, cycling, netball and archery.

They took part in a series of performance assessments, including target shooting, sprint testing, the beep test, power and strength assessments, agility testing and body composition measurements. These activities gave us an insight into our athletes' individual strengths, athletic abilities and areas for development.

The students also toured SASI’s state-of-the-art sporting and high-performance facilities and had the opportunity to meet several national-level athletes, gaining an insight into what it takes to perform at the highest level.

It was an inspiring and challenging experience that showed us that greatness can be discovered in many different ways - and that with the right mindset, training and dedication, there may be more athletic potential within us than we realise.

Year 12 PJ Day was more than just a bit of fun. With only a short time remaining before graduation, it provided an opportunity for students to take a break from the pressures of assessments and reflect on their journey through school. The morning was filled with smiles, conversations, and memories that will no doubt be remembered long after Year 12 has finished.

This week, our Year 1, 2 and 3 students enjoyed a fantastic Swimming Week at the Elizabeth Aquadome! Each day, students participated in swimming lessons that not only provided lots of fun but also helped build confidence in the water and develop important swimming and water safety skills. Our students embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, courage and a willingness to learn.

A huge thank you to our dedicated teachers, ESOs and parent volunteers for their support, encouragement and supervision throughout the week. Your efforts helped make this valuable learning experience possible and ensured every student had a safe and enjoyable time.

Today, our Year 11 students participated in the Road Awareness Program (RAP), an impactful road safety initiative led by MFS firefighters. Hearing firsthand accounts from emergency responders and a survivor of a serious road crash provided a powerful reminder of the lasting effects of road trauma. The presentation challenged students to carefully consider the choices they make and the responsibility that comes with being a road user.

Year 11 students enjoyed a fabulous camp at Nunyara in Belair last week. Our theme was Identity, and students enjoyed listening to and reflecting on who they are in Christ and what it means to belong to a community.

In addition to some excellent talks from our teachers, we spent a full day participating in team-building activities with Beyond the Classroom. Students abseiled down trees, learned archery, and tried not to get too muddy as they completed a range of physical challenges.

Nights filled with fun and laughter, great food, and opportunities to build lasting friendships will create memories that will be treasured for many years to come.
