Introducing Our New PMI Adelaide Board Members
Please meet our new board members!
We’re delighted to welcome Ben and Behrang to the PMI Adelaide team as Directors at Large. Both bring diverse experience, fresh perspectives, and a strong passion for strengthening our project management community.
Ben Lewis
Having grown up on a farm in a small town in Tasmania, I have a deep appreciation for community — and I'm genuinely grateful to find myself in this one.
The project management community is something special. It's built of people who make positive change by building teams, bringing others along on the journey, and showing up not just for a profession, but for a way of life. Because projects don't only happen at work — they happen all throughout our lives. Life itself is one big project journey, and the skills we develop through this profession apply to everything we do, everyone we become, and everything we aspire to be.
I look forward to sharing what I've gathered along my journey — and learning just as much from what others have gathered on theirs.
Behrang Fatemi
My core experience has been in leading large-scale initiatives across fintech and the digital economy back to my country. Since migrating to AUS, I’ve continued to evolve my career in project management and enterprise architecture, with a strong focus on delivering practical, outcome-driven solutions in complex environments.
Adelaide has given us a great balance, professionally and personally. Alongside my wife and son, I’m enjoying the lifestyle here while continuing to grow and challenge myself.
I’m someone who finds clarity in simplicity… I love the ocean, tennis, long walks, and time on the trails. Those quiet moments often give me space to reflect, and to stay connected to what truly matters, including the values I carry from my late father.
For me, project management is, above all of its knowledge areas, about communication… and the ability to manage it effectively.
Joining the PMI Adelaide Board is an opportunity I truly value. I’ll consider it a success if I can contribute to strengthening professionalism across SA and help build a more connected, capable, and forward-looking project community.
We’re excited to have them join the PMI Adelaide leadership team and look forward to the value, insight, and energy they will bring to our chapter and members.
Please join us in welcoming Ben and Behrang! 👏
