Wattle Park Kindergarten

We are looking forward to seeing the children and families for the start of an exciting new term at Kindy. This term our learning will explore art and creativity and we are excited to see where this will lead.

At Wattle Park Kindergarten we care for the environment in all sorts of ways. By building an understanding of the creatures in our environment, the children develop their care, empathy and interest in nature. The children have watched with curiosity and interest as we observe the butterfly and frog lifecycles.

We are still seeking a parent to facilitate our playgroup, so unfortunately it will be postponed until we can find a helper. If any parents are interested in helping run the playgroup, please let us know. We hope to have it up and running again soon.

Sorry everyone, we won't be able to have a playgroup this week on Monday. Fingers crossed for next week.
If any parents are able to support the playgroup by being a Coordinator that would be wonderful to have a back-up. Please give us a call if you are interested.

It is always a highlight of our term when Rebecca from joins us to share learning about the seasons, the plants and the garden. The children were so interested to learn about carrots and get to plant some by seed. The children shared their thoughts through drawings and have been eager to check the garden each day to see the growth and to water the plants.

Playgroup is back today and each Monday from 1:15 - 2:45pm. We are still looking for another parent to help coordinate the playgroup sessions so please have a chat with us if you could help out.

This term we have been learning all about creatures and their lifecycles. In response to the children's interests, we started by focusing on spiders. We have explored their features, habitats and lifecycles through stories, discussions, and hands on experiences.
