Next week is Book Week, and we have an exciting range of activities planned, including our Costumed Dress Up Day on Friday, August 28!

We encourage students to dress up as a character related to an appropriate book choice. Alternatively, students may wear clothes that reflect a character e.g. colours of a character (examples are included in the images below).

Costumes do not need to be purchased and creativity is encouraged. On Thursday, we will have an opportunity for students to create headbands that reflect their characters.

Running in conjunction with our annual Show Up 'N' Shine, there will be the opportunity to reconnect with former students and staff, view artefacts and photographs from across the decades and tour some of our buildings. What an incredible performance by SEHS at the recent Multicultural Power Cup at Alberton Oval!

A group of year 9, 10 and 11 students played in a 9-a-side AFL carnival in the name of inclusion and diversity. The girls side won all five matches and were extremely unlucky to miss out on a grand final spot, while the boys only lost one game all day.
Students were also lucky enough to walk a lap of honour around Adelaide Oval at the Power vs Giants game the following night.

Well done to all involved and thank you for representing SEHS with pride.

Earlier this week, half of our Year 10 Law and Business students visited the District Court of South Australia.

During the visit, students observed both criminal and civil cases, connecting directly with their studies of the judicial system and justice.

We are delighted that performing arts teacher, Ms Emily Miles, was featured in today's edition of The Advertiser, as a part of the national Australia's Best Teacher campaign.
