In the April School Holidays, the children at YMCA Airdale OSHC Port Pirie had an AMAZING day at Goods on Gertrude! πβ¨
Our children had an absolute blast exploring, learning and discovering all the wonderful things Goods on Gertrude does for our local community. From an exciting scavenger hunt to a special behind-the-scenes tour, every moment was filled with fun, curiosity and adventure! ποΈππ
Goods on Gertrude is such an important part of the Port Pirie community, providing support, connection and opportunities for so many people. It was incredibly valuable for our children to see firsthand the positive impact kindness, donations and community spirit can have on others β€οΈ
A HUGE thank you to the incredible Kylie, Amanda and all of the wonderful volunteers who made our visit so memorable. Your kindness, warmth and enthusiasm made the children feel so welcome and excited throughout the entire experience.
Our children were absolutely spoilt with delicious fruit platters, which they thoroughly enjoyed, and one of the biggest highlights of the day was the opportunity for each child to go shopping with the generous $5 provided. Watching the children carefully choose their own special treasures and light up with excitement was absolutely priceless! ππβ¨π΅π§Έ
Thank you again for such a meaningful, engaging and community-focused experience. We are so grateful for the love, generosity and support you continue to show our children and families at YMCA Airdale OSHC Port Pirie π

What an absolutely incredible day for our YMCA Airdale OSHC children! ππ
We would love to give a massive THANK YOU to Solomontown Football Club for running such an outstanding Football Clinic for our children π
A special shoutout to Matt, Joel, Corey, Tyson, Marco and Lawson β your organisation, energy and passion did not go unnoticed! The way the clinic was planned and delivered was truly remarkable, and it created such an engaging and positive experience for every child involved.
From the very beginning, the excitement was through the roof! The children were fully engaged as they rotated through different skill stations, learning how to tackle safely using the tackle bags, how to mark the ball with confidence, and developing their kicking and handball skills πβ¨
What really stood out was how inclusive and supportive you all were. Every child, no matter their skill level, was encouraged, guided and made to feel part of the experience. That sense of belonging and confidence building is something we value so highly, and you absolutely delivered that on the day π«
The smiles, laughter and determination we saw across the group said it all β and the kids have not stopped talking about it since!
Opportunities like this are so important in helping children try new things, build skills, and connect with their local community. We are so grateful for the time and effort you all put in to make this such a memorable experience.
Thank you again for giving our children such a fun, active and inspiring day β we canβt wait to do it all again! ππ₯

WOW⦠what an incredible experience for our YMCA Airdale OSHC children!
We would like to send a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to the amazing team from Blue Wren Netball Club β Bec, Amanda, Alayna, Lilah and Skye β for running such a fun, engaging and energetic netball clinic for our children on Thursday the 16th of April π
From the moment the session began, the excitement was absolutely contagious! The time, effort and behind-the-scenes planning that went into organising this clinic certainly did not go unnoticed, and it truly made such a positive impact on our children.
Everyone had an absolute blast learning new skills and building confidence on the court. From discovering exactly how far 3 feet is (which sparked plenty of laughs and βaha!β moments π), to practising their shooting skills, taking part in warm-up drills, and joining in on the ever-popular game of Golden Child β every single moment was filled with energy, teamwork and fun πβ¨
What stood out the most was the way you all connected with the children β encouraging them, supporting them, and making sure every child felt included and capable. The smiles, laughter and pure joy across the group said it allβ¦ and we are still hearing about it days later!
Opportunities like this are so valuable for our children, not only to learn new skills but to feel part of something bigger within our community. Itβs partnerships like this that help create such meaningful and memorable experiences π«
And can we just sayβ¦ how AMAZING do the PPNA netball courts look?! ππ The perfect space for such a fantastic day!
Thank you again for your time, passion and dedication to supporting our young people. We feel so lucky to be part of such a supportive and connected community, and we cannot wait to be back for another Netball Clinic!

We were thrilled to welcome the Solomontown Football Club to St Markβs College OSHC for an exciting footy clinic! With 54 children participating, the energy was high and the smiles were even bigger!
The players generously volunteered their time to run the clinic, and were incredible with the children, creating a fun, inclusive and supportive environment that catered to all abilities.
