🎮 Is your child spending too much time playing computer games Instead of just playing games, why not help them learn how to create their own?

At Leading Coding, we use JavaScript to turn children’s interest in games into motivation to learn Coding, develop logical thinking, and become creators.

💻 From playing games to creating them — turn their interest into a starting point for learning.

Last Tuesday , Chair of the Australian AI Olympiad Inc. (AAIO), Principal pf Leading Coding, Celine Huang shared the journey of Team Australia’s Junior and Senior champion teams from South Australia, who represented Australia at the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Global Final in Geneva.

At the event, students met many AI experts, government representatives, and other teams from around the world. At the opening ceremony, our students represented Australia on the UN global stage, responding to the question, “What is AI for Good?” During the competition, they worked through wireless interference, robot drift and unexpected faults—putting their engineering skills into practice while building resilience and teamwork. Reflecting on their journey, they expressed gratitude to sponsors and partners and a desire to give back by sharing their learning and using their skills to help the community.

The AMIL showcase also highlighted the opportunities and responsibilities that come with this work. Professor Simon Lucey emphasised South Australia’s leadership in AI and the importance of excellence, trust and safety, while The Hon Chris Picton MP raised cares about AI safety and its impact on children. Together, these messages reinforce AAIO’s vision: to move the next generation from AI takers to AI makers—and to make AI for Good.

sincerely thank AIML for sponsoring and supporting this journey, and for providing a platform to share our students’ work with South Australia’s wider AI community.

Thank you to the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML) for inviting Celine Huang, Chair of the Australian AI Olympiad Inc. (AAIO), to speak at this year’s AIML Showcase, “AI for South Australia: From Research to Impact.” Celine shared the journey of Team Australia’s Junior and Sen...

🤖 Team Australia Gives Back to the Community | Robotics for Good
Last Saturday, Team Australia’s Junior and Senior teams visited the Gifted & Talented Children's Association of South Australia(GTCASA) to share their Robotics for Good Youth Challenge journey from Geneva with young people and families. 🇦🇺🤖

Team Australia showcased their competition robots and shared their journey — from design and programming to AI applications, teamwork and overcoming challenges — giving young people an insight into how AI and robotics can move from the classroom into the real world.

A sincere thank GTCASA for providing this wonderful opportunity for Team Australia to give back to the community and share their experiences.

It was wonderful to see students confidently share what they have learned, inspire the next generation of innovators, and connect with young people who share their passion for AI, coding and robotics.

This is what Robotics for Good is all about: not only developing technology that can benefit society, but also empowering young people to use their knowledge and experiences to inspire others.

From AI Takers to AI Makers — Making AI for Good. 🤖🌏

Why Does Leading Coding Choose JavaScript Instead of Python as the First text-based learning Language?

At Leading Coding, we believe that a student's first programming language should build strong foundations for future learning.

💡 1. Understanding the "Why", Not Just the "How"
JavaScript helps students understand programming logic and how software works, while Python often relies more on using existing libraries.

💻 2. A Smooth Path to C++
JavaScript shares many similarities with C++, making it easier for students to progress into algorithms, data structures, and competitive programming.

🌐 3. Building Software Engineering Foundations**
JavaScript is used for front-end, back-end, and database development, helping students understand the complete software development process.

🎮 4. Learning Through Creativity
JavaScript supports both front-end and back-end development, making it ideal for creating games and interactive projects that keep students engaged and inspired.

🤖 5. Preparing for the Future of AI
JavaScript and TypeScript are becoming increasingly important for building AI agents, intelligent tools, and AI-powered applications, helping students prepare for the next generation of technology.
