๐Ÿ’ป JavaScript Level 1 โ€“ Week 6
When children write code, they're not just learning programmingโ€”they're learning how to think.
This week, our students used logic, conditions, and keyboard controls to build the next stage of their Snake game.
One student even discovered a hidden gameplay bug before it was explained in class, showing the curiosity and problem-solving mindset that great programmers develop.
These moments remind us that coding is not about memorising code. It's about exploring, experimenting, and learning how to solve problems independentlyโค๏ธ

For many kids, coding begins with a simple question:
โ€œHow are games actually made?โ€

When they write their first line of code and bring a character to life, coding stops being just code on a screen โ€” it becomes creativity, problem-solving, and real hands-on creation.

JavaScript game: why choose periodic table Hungry Snake game 24/05/2026

๐ŸŽฎ What Makes Leading Codingโ€™s JavaScript Course Special?
At Leading Coding, JavaScript is the first formal programming course that introduces students to the world of real coding. It also serves as a key foundation for two major learning pathways:
โžก๏ธ C++ , Algorithms & Data Structures
โžก๏ธ Database / Management Information Systems

Through developing 2D and 3D game projects, students systematically learn:
โœ… Programming logic
โœ… Conditions and loops
โœ… Game and interaction design
โœ… Debugging and problem-solving skills

Why game development? Because games make abstract logic visible.Every line of code instantly changes the visuals, rules, and interactions on the screen. Students are not just โ€œwriting codeโ€ โ€” they are learning:
โœจ How programs work
โœจ How systems are structured and designed
โœจ How the logic behind AI and software operates

๐Ÿ“Œ Course Features:
โ€ข Game-driven learning that builds engagement
โ€ข Real programming language + real development environment
โ€ข Structured learning pathway
โ€ข Natural progression into C++, algorithms and data structures
โ€ข Foundation for Database / Management Information Systems
โ€ข Focus on deep understanding, not surface-level operation

We hope students gain more than just the ability to โ€œwrite code.โ€We want them to develop the ability to:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Understand problems
๐Ÿ‘‰ Analyse logic
๐Ÿ‘‰ Build systems
๐Ÿ‘‰ Create solutions

๐Ÿ† Student Achievement:

What is Leading Codingโ€™s JavaScript Course?

JavaScript is the first formal programming course for Leading Coding students entering the world of real coding. The course uses 2D and 3D game development as a learning medium, guiding students to systematically learn JavaScript syntax, programming logic, and software design concepts.

JavaScript is a widely used real-world programming language used in websites, games, database systems, and software development. In a real development environment, students learn how programs work, how logic affects outcomes, and how systems are built step by step through creating games.

The course aims to help students gradually understand the logic behind programming and AI, while building a strong foundation for future studies in C++, algorithms, and data structures.

What Do Students Do in Class?
In class, students develop real game projects and learn programming through the full process of:
Design โ†’ Coding โ†’ Testing โ†’ Improving

Using real development tools, students gradually learn:
โœ…Variables, conditions, loops, functions, and other core programming concepts
โœ…Game rules and interaction design
โœ…2D and 3D game development
โœ…Debugging and problem-solving skills

Course projects include:
๐ŸŽฎ 2D Snake Game
โšฝ 3D Soccer Game

Through continuous testing and improvement, students gradually understand:
๐Ÿ‘‰ How programs work
๐Ÿ‘‰ How logic affects outcomes
๐Ÿ‘‰ How systems are built step by step

The video showcases the 2D game project โ€” Snake Game, and the 3D game project โ€” Soccer Game, created by Leading Coding students in the JavaScript course.

C++ Level 1 ๐Ÿ’ป | Brisbane Coding Classroom Moments

A classroom full of focused thinking, coding and problem-solving โค๏ธ

Our C++ Level 1 class is designed for students who already have some programming experience and are ready to move into more advanced coding and computational thinking.

Students learn step by step with the teacher, then work through practice and challenge questions at their own pace ๐Ÿ’ช
One thing we really love seeing is students helping each other, discussing ideas and solving problems together.

Coding is not just about learning technology โ€” it helps students build logic, focus, confidence and problem-solving skills for the future.

Lego Robotics Program: designed for young innovators 17/05/2026

๐ŸŒŸ What Are the Advantages of Leading Codingโ€™s LEGO Robotics Program?

1. The Best Starting Point for Programming
By combining โ€œbuilding + coding,โ€ children can enter the world of programming in a fun and engaging way.
The course is designed with a structured and efficient learning pathway, and most students are able to smoothly progress to advanced courses such as Scratch, JavaScript, C++, and AI within one year, building a strong foundation for higher-level learning.

2. Project-Based Learning to Develop Problem-Solving Skills
Children do not simply โ€œlisten to lessons.โ€ Instead, they learn through real-world tasks by continuously testing, improving, and optimizing their projects, gradually developing logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

3. Teamwork and Communication Skills
Students work in small teams to complete projects, improving their communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills through discussion, task allocation, and cooperation.

4. Competition Experience That Builds Confidence and Motivation
Students also have opportunities to participate in LEGO robotics competitions, where they challenge themselves, strengthen their abilities, build confidence, and achieve outstanding results.

โœจ What Will Children Gain?

Through the LEGO Robotics Program, children will gradually develop:

โœ… Logical thinking skills
โœ… Fundamental programming skills
โœ… Hands-on building and engineering design skills
โœ… Teamwork and communication skills
โœ… Complex problem-solving abilities

These skills are not only valuable for programming learning, but also serve as an important foundation for future AI and technology education.

Lego Robotics Program: Avoid all barriers on the road 13/05/2026

๐Ÿงฑ What is the Leading Coding's LEGO Robotics Programming Course?

The LEGO Robotics Programming Course in Leading Coding is an introductory coding program where children learn programming by controlling real robots. It helps students develop computational thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning.

Suitable for: Reception to year 4 students

In this stage, students learn programming through a combination of building and coding. They develop a clear understanding of basic programming structures and logical thinking, while building a strong foundation for future courses such as Scratch.

Unlike traditional coding, LEGO learning uses real 3D robots, allowing children to see and touch the results of their programs. This makes abstract coding concepts much more concrete and easy to understand.

๐Ÿค– What do students do in class?

In class, students work through discussion, teamwork, design, and feedback to complete fun robotics projects. They then use iPads to code and bring their robots to life with movement and interaction.

Projects are closely connected to real-world scenarios, such as:

Designing a mini golf game system
Programming smart street lights with logic control
Understanding structure and optimisation through bridge strength testing
Building robots that can avoid obstacles and navigate paths

Through continuous trial and improvement, students begin to understand:

How complex systems are built step by step
How programming affects real-world outcomes
Why testing, debugging, and improving are essential in coding
