In the first nine months of 2024, the government-funded training packages with the largest increase in enrolments were Community Services (up 23 825 or 11.0%), Business Services (up 7600 or 8.7%), and Electrotechnology (up 3670 or 6.1%), when compared with the first nine months of 2023.

Of the 1 100 245 students enrolled in government-funded VET in Australia in the first nine months of 2024, 605 455 (or 55.0%) were enrolled at TAFE institutes, an increase of 7.1% when compared to the same period in 2023.
