Day 4 of IAGS was another action-packed day filled with insightful presentations and lively discussions. We also wrapped up the day with the Student Networking Reception, sponsored by Teck. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with industry leaders and peers in a relaxed atmosphere, setting the stage for future collaborations and career opportunities.

Matthew Leybourne has been appointed the new Editor-in-Chief of Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis (GEEA)! GEEA is a leading journal published by the Geological Society of London, focusing on applied geochemistry and its role in exploration and environmental analysis. Matthew’s extensive background in geochemistry will undoubtedly bring fresh insights and leadership to the journal. We look forward to the groundbreaking research that will continue to shape the future of geoscience under his guidance!

Last night’s GeoHug Social was an incredible way to kick off the IAGS conference! 🎉 Hosted by Jessica Keast and generously sponsored by Newmont, Intertek Minerals, and AAG, it was an evening filled with great conversations, networking, and community spirit.
