Nido Early School Para Hills

Classroom 5 has been learning all about different types of seeds and discovering how seeds grow into plants. Over the past week, we have been carefully watching our own seedlings and observing the changes each day. We are very excited to see the first little sprouts beginning to appear! 🌱The children have been enjoying seeing their seeds change and are developing an understanding of what plants need to grow, including water, sunlight and care. We look forward to watching our seedlings continue to grow and seeing what happens next! 🪴

🚀 Classroom 5 Visits the Planetarium! 🌎✨

Over the past few months, Classroom 5 have been exploring and learning all about our solar system, so visiting the planetarium was an amazing way to bring our learning to life! 🌙🪐

The children were fascinated as they watched the planets, stars and galaxies come to life around them. Seeing the solar system in such an immersive way sparked so much wonder, excitement and curiosity. It was incredible to see their faces light up as they connected what we have been learning and talking about in the classroom with what they could see right before their eyes. 🌟

What an amazing experience for our little explorers! 🚀💫

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families who joined us this evening to celebrate Nido’s third birthday!

To mark this special milestone, we hosted another successful Art Show, showcasing the incredible creativity of our children. Throughout the first half of the year, they have explored a range of artistic experiences and created some truly beautiful pieces, which we were so proud to display.

If you weren’t able to attend, or if you’d like another look, our Art Show will remain on display for the rest of the week in the Atelier. We encourage you to stop by and admire the amazing work our talented children have created.

Last week we had a visit from the Metropolitan Fire Service for a truly exciting and valuable learning experience for the children. 🚒🔥

The children had the opportunity to meet real firefighters, explore the fire truck, learn about the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe, and ask lots of curious questions along the way. There were plenty of smiles, excitement, and hands-on learning moments throughout the visit.

Experiences like these are so important in early childhood education, helping children build confidence, awareness, and understanding around fire safety in a safe and engaging way. Learning about what to do in an emergency, recognising firefighters as safe helpers, and understanding basic fire safety messages all contribute to developing lifelong safety awareness.

A huge thank you to the MFS team for taking the time to visit us and create such a memorable and meaningful experience for our children and educators. We loved having you at Nido Para Hills! 🚒

Today our children had a wonderful opportunity to take part in an Easter egg hunt, filled with excitement, laughter, and plenty of smiles.
It was so special to see them exploring, discovering, and sharing the joy of the occasion alongside their friends. Moments like these create lasting memories and help build a strong sense of community.
We’re incredibly grateful to celebrate Easter together with our families and dedicated educators, whose support and involvement make these experiences so meaningful. Wishing everyone a joyful and safe Easter!
