⚽ A Big Thank You to Salisbury Villa Soccer Club! ⚽

Over the past few Peace Leader meetings, our students have been asking if we could have soccer nets on our soccer goals. After some great conversations, Mrs Ibrahim reached out to Salisbury Villa Soccer Club, who generously donated two soccer nets for our school!

We are incredibly grateful to Bud, Sports Director at Salisbury Villa Soccer Club, who came out this evening and installed the nets for us. Our students are going to be so excited on Monday to see them ready for play.

On behalf of the Northfield Primary School community, we would like to sincerely thank Salisbury Villa Soccer Club and Bud for supporting our students and helping bring their ideas to life.

Last week, we celebrated National Science Week with two exciting events. Many families worked together to create projects for our Family Science Showcase, while our Year 5 and 6 students researched a science topic of their choice and presented their learning and an experiment to younger classes in the Science Room.

It was wonderful to see so many proud students showing their friends around the Science Room and sharing their projects. These experiences help nurture students’ curiosity about the world around them and encourage a lifelong love of science.

Thank you to all the families who supported their children in creating and entering a project. The Family Science Showcase and Mini Science Expo winners will be announced to all classes on Friday morning.

Celebrating SSO Week!

This week is SSO Week, and yesterday we celebrated our wonderful SSOs with a special morning tea.

We are so grateful for the incredible work our SSOs do each and every day to support, encourage and care for our students. Their dedication, patience and commitment make such a positive difference to our school community.

Thank you to all of our amazing SSOs for everything you do! We appreciate you more than you know!

Wellbeing Session 4

Last Friday, our year 5/6 students took the lead in Wellbeing Session 4, supporting their peers to learn more about self-regulation.

Our student leaders did an amazing job sharing their knowledge, guiding activities and helping their peers understand how we can manage our emotions, energy, attention and behaviours.

One of the activities saw students creating their own Self-Regulation Toolbox. Students explored and selected different tools and strategies they could use to support themselves when they are feeling in different zones. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to think about what works for them and build a personal toolkit of strategies they can use when they need to regulate.

It was fantastic to see our students standing up with confidence, sharing their learning and demonstrating our Peace Values along the way.

A huge congratulations to our year 5/6 students for showing such great confidence, responsibility and leadership. We are so proud of you!
