We were delighted to celebrate Father’s Day with our College community, welcoming more than 400 guests to our Barbecue and Activities Afternoon.

Filled with laughter, connection and friendly competition, the afternoon was a wonderful opportunity for families to spend quality time together.

We extend our warmest wishes to all fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures, and hold in our hearts those for whom Father's Day may be difficult.

Congratulations to Piper (Year 12), who has recently completed her studies through the Class of Cabaret program.

Offered as part of our Student Tertiary Engagement Program (STEP), students in Stage 1 and Stage 2 can gain a head start on their post-school studies through unique tertiary learning opportunities.

One of our talented and passionate musicians, Piper, embraced the opportunity to further develop her skills and broaden her performance experience. “I’m always looking for opportunities to explore different styles of performance and become as versatile as possible,” says Piper. “I’d heard incredible things about the Class of Cabaret Program from friends who had previously completed it, and they all described it as a once in a lifetime experience. After taking part myself, I can confidently say they were absolutely right. Class of Cabaret was an eye-opening experience that gave me a much deeper understanding of the cabaret genre and what it means to have an authentic artistic voice. Through STEP at Kildare, I was able to learn from experienced industry professionals, challenge myself creatively, and gain valuable insights that have strengthened my confidence as a performer.” Piper also highlighted the value of the industry connections she made through the Class of Cabaret Program.

Kildare College is incredibly proud to have been nationally recognised as a 5-Star Best School for 2026 by The Educator. This recognition follows the College being named a 5-Star Employer of Choice in both 2025 and 2026.

Alongside only 33 other schools across Australia, this recognition spotlights Australia’s most forward-thinking and impactful schools – those that redefined excellence in education. This initiative celebrated schools that demonstrated outstanding performance and innovation across multiple dimensions of student learning and wellbeing. (The Educator)

Being recognised in the year of our 60 Year Anniversary is something very special.

Our Principal, Tina Neate, is one of five Principals to feature in the 5-Star Best Schools Report, expressing "Every morning, almost 800 young women walk through our Kildare College gates. They place their trust in us and so do their families. That trust is something we never take for granted. Our responsibility is to ensure every student is known, challenged, supported and inspired to become the very best version of herself. More than 2,000 items donated with five carloads collected by Vinnies!

What an incredible effort from our College community during our 2026 Winter Appeal and in our Year of Justice.

From warm clothing and toiletries collected during our Christmas in July initiative to non-perishable food donations at the beginning of Term 3, students, families and staff have shown extraordinary generosity in supporting those in need. Thank you to everyone.

We also acknowledge the students who participated in our annual Winter Sleepout, spending the evening learning about the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness and reflecting on how we can work towards a more just and compassionate society.

A special thank you to Woolworths Gilles Plains, Galipo, Kelloggs, Simplot, Anchor, Real Dairy, Goodman Fielder, Sandhurst and Pacific West for their support and to the wonderful Vinnies volunteers who ensure these donations reach those who need them most.

Together, we are making a difference.

Creative Industries Week at Kildare College was a celebration of imagination and creativity!

Through exciting lunchtime activities, students explored a range of creative disciplines engaging in hands-on timber, photography, art, jewellery and design workshops developing new skills along the way.

Our jewellery workshop was a highlight, with students creating colourful jewellery pieces alongside special guest Renee Damiani jewellery, a Kildare College Old Scholar. Renee shared her creative journey and encouraged students as they experimented with jewellery design techniques.

The week also featured Chalk the Walk and the annual Mini Art Show, showcasing the incredible talents of students across the College.

Our Academic Awards Assemblies acknowledge the efforts and achievements of our students; a celebration of dedication, passion and excellence.

With more than 400 family members and guests joining us, the day was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate not only academic success, but also the effort, growth and personal development of our students.

A highlight of both assemblies was our special guest speaker Julie Monis-Ivett OAM, an Old Scholar from Kildare’s founding Class of 1966. Julie shared the defining moments that shaped her life and led to her receiving an Order of Australia Medal in 2018 for her contribution to international health. She inspired and encouraged students to value learning, persevere through challenges and embrace opportunities to serve others - reflecting Kildare’s Core Values of Compassion, Courage and Justice.

Australia’s Best Teachers are part of our Kildare community!

We are proud to share that Kathy Hennig and Paul Beltrame have been recognised in News Corp’s Australia’s Best Teachers series, a national initiative celebrating educators who make a profound difference in the lives of young people and their communities.

Their recognition reflects not only excellence in teaching, but also our Core Values lived every day.

Old Scholar and current staff member, Kathy Hennig is a dedicated and inspiring educator whose long serving 36-year career at Kildare College reflects her deep commitment to Catholic education. As Transition Coordinator, English, Religious Education, HASS and Pastoral Care teacher, Kathy fosters spiritual, academic and personal growth through engaging teaching and genuine care. Kathy’s connections run deep, with many old scholars fondly remembering her enduring impact; as a student and as a staff member. She welcomes and supports all, especially those most vulnerable, ensuring all feel seen and valued. This care is translated in initiatives including the Kildare College Transition Program and Peer Support Program. As a long standing pillar of our community, Kathy enriches College life through nurturing connections and belonging in all.

Paul Beltrame's 26-year career at Kildare College has shaped student learning, curiosity and care for creation. A highly accomplished Biology, Material Solutions (Woodwork and Metalsmithing), Science, STEM and Pastoral Care teacher, Paul drives outstanding academic outcomes while fostering environmental stewardship through initiatives such as the Orchid Club and partnerships with the Adelaide Botanic Garden. From planting the seed for the Kildare College Tullow Centre to spearheading the Material Solutions curriculum, and now leading an innovative drone program, Paul continually models forward-thinking practice. His excellence was recognised with the 2024 Catholic Education South Australia Laudato Si Award, highlighting his commitment to sustainability and authentic learning.

Our Futures Fair once again brought together students, families, higher education providers and employers to explore future pathways beyond Kildare.

From SACE and subject selection to tertiary study and career opportunities, the evening empowered our young women to dream big and plan for the future.
