National Reconciliation Week brought our College together to reflect, learn and commit to a more just and united future.

Guided by the 2026 theme 'All In', we gathered for a whole College assembly, where the importance of truth-telling and living reconciliation through everyday actions was highlighted. Through powerful student reflections, an impactful presentation by special guest speaker Vicky Welgraven AM and moving performances, our community was reminded of the role we each play in building respect, understanding and meaningful change.

After the Assembly our Nunga students, special guests and staff connected over a shared lunch.

Get ready to feel the beat.

Kildare College presents the 2026 Performing Arts Production PULSE.

PULSE is an electrifying live experience where dance, music, and storytelling collide in an exploration of a system out of sync; where technology takes control, and nature pushes back, calling for balance in a world that has forgotten how to listen. PULSE amplifies the voices of a generation coming of age in the space between connection and control. Challenging audiences to think, feel, and imagine: what does balance look like, and what part can we play in creating it?

When the signal breaks and the rhythm shifts, a new energy rises.
Will you follow the noise or find your pulse?

We look forward to seeing you there.

In celebration of Catholic Education Week, we took a moment to recreate this special memory of Anna and Alaska.

From their Transition Day beginnings at Kildare College to now, as Year 12 students, Anna and Alaska have shared their entire high school journey at Kildare, growing, learning and thriving along the way.

Having been by each other’s side since Reception, their friendship has spanned their entire Catholic education - from Primary School at St Francis of Assisi School, Newton through to Years 7 -12 at Kildare College.

Anna and Alaska share that “being part of Catholic schools has taught us strong values and provided an all-round education, one that focuses not only on learning, but also on community and relationships. We have been afforded many opportunities to grow and develop as young women.”

Their journey reflects the learning, values and sense of community fostered throughout their years in Catholic education.

Supporting new beginnings.

Our Transition Program supports new students as they begin their journey, helping them feel confident, connected and comfortable in their new environment. A key part of this support is our Peer Support Program.

As ‘big sisters’, our Peer Support Leaders build positive, nurturing relationships with our Year 7 students. Throughout Semester 1, they meet regularly to explore important topics such as building friendships, responsible use of technology, conflict resolution, organisation and strategies for success. Alongside these sessions, students also enjoyed shared experiences, including Year 7 Camp and a drawing competition.

With their workshop sessions now complete, our Peer Support Leaders are preparing to conclude their roles at the end of the semester.

We are incredibly proud of our Peer Support Leaders and congratulate them on their commitment to supporting our newest students through this important transition.

Happy Mother's Day!

We were delighted to welcome over 500 people to our Mother's Day Afternoon Tea on Friday. Mothers, grandmothers, special female figures and students gathered in our Brigidine Centre to celebrate the women who matter most. With food, activities, moments of reflection and plenty of conversation, it was a joyful afternoon and we thank our wonderful community for making it so special. We also hold in our thoughts and prayers those for whom Mother’s Day may bring mixed emotions, and we are grateful for the many people who offer love, care and support in their lives.

Yesterday we celebrated our Turning of the Soil Ceremony.

Beneath our symbolic oak trees, students, staff, Old Scholars and special guests came together to turn the soil, marking the official commencement of construction on the Lightbridge Centre. This new Performing Arts and Wellbeing Centre will rise on the site where our original Hall, built in 1966, once proudly stood. We are delighted to begin this journey and look forward to seeing the Lightbridge Centre come to life - shaping the future of our students and strengthening the heart of our community for generations to come.

We are so excited to unveil the Lightbridge Centre very soon - watch this space.

Thank you for joining us for this special occasion:

We are so proud to share that Mia (Class of 2025) has been awarded a Commonwealth Teaching Scholarship to assist her with her Bachelor of Teaching - Primary (Honours) at Adelaide University.

Mia shared, "I am enjoying my time at Adelaide University. This scholarship would not be possible without all of the support and encouragement that I received from my teachers at Kildare."

Mia’s passion for education was clearly demonstrated throughout her studies at Kildare College, being the recipient of the 2025 Child Studies Subject Dux.

Congratulations Mia. We wish you every success in this exciting chapter.
