We did 2 drop offs masks today ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
At the first drop off we were met with tears of gratitude from a very appreciative nurse receiving these masks on behalf of patients on her ward.
The other unit we dropped some to also said it was just amazing to receive them. Well worth the drive in the rain on the second delivery.
A massive shout out of thanks to the team at Prospect Alterations -
74 Prospect Rd, Prospect
They donated 100 masks and have offered to make more.
Also contributing by making masks for the first lot donated.
Angie Barrett, Kate Elwood plus a couple others who would like to remain anonymous.
We hope you all know how appreciated you are for your kind efforts. Plenty more masks are need, so please continue to sew & private message for any questions or to organise drop off or collections โค๏ธ
We will be continuing to support those like Prospect Alterations who donate their time & materials even when struggling with such a decline in business & still reach out to help the community, we hope you can all get behind these businesses on the other side of this too.

Reaching out to anyone who can help or knows someone who can help with making of masks to go to our inpatient health facilities. We are looking at these for the inpatient facilities Adelaide however it is now being shared all over Australia and we have people who can arrange to collect fabric from any state or territories in Australia, to go to facilities in their own state. These are not to be used by us as medical professionals they are going to patients who at times have other infections (lots already have coughs and weak immune systems and for some it is hard to understand the concept of social distancing) as a barrier of protection not a medical device. They are mostly being made of up of cotton fabrics & elastics.
We are all putting in as much as we can personally into purchase fabrics and check out clearance in store to keep out of pocket costs down so we can make as many as possible, we are happy to organise fabric for those who want to make but donโt have funds to buy fabric.
Iโm personally happy to answer any questions for anyone on how they can get involved. I do have a post on my personal & business page that Iโm more than happy to be shared. โค๏ธ
We can send link if you pm for a pattern & instructions below, there are a variations on this pattern available via google search, all of which can be used as these will be used as a protection barrier not a medical device.
