☕️ Connection Event: Coffee & Chat
Today we wrapped up our final Connection Event of the term with a Coffee & Chat afternoon in the city.
Students enjoyed a hot chocolate, great conversations, and the opportunity to practise their English outside the classroom in a relaxed and friendly environment. Events like these help students build confidence, make new friends from around the world, and discover new places in Adelaide.
A special thank you to our wonderful volunteers for joining the group and helping make the afternoon so enjoyable for everyone. 💙
We look forward to welcoming more students to our Connection Events next term!

Who said learning about academic integrity couldn’t be fun? 🌟
Last week, the ELC celebrated Academic Integrity Week with interactive activities designed and led by our student ambassadors.
Students worked in groups to play bowling, darts and escape room challenges, testing their knowledge of academic integrity throughout each activity. 🎳🎯🔐
A fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, connect with others and keep improving their English.
Well done to everyone involved! 👏

New city. New friends. New opportunities to improve your English.
Our students met up with ILSC students for a picnic and conversation carousel. Hometowns, hobbies, and everything in between, getting to know each other one story at a time.
Another great opportunity for students to practise English outside the classroom, improve their confidence, and make new connections! 🌍✨

What a milestone moment! 🎓✨
Recently, the English Language Centre had the honour of hosting a graduation ceremony for students from Okayama University, Waseda University, Kobe University, Meiji University, the University of Toyama, and Kansai University, alongside the homestay families who made Adelaide feel like home.
This ceremony was a celebration not just of academic achievement, but of the bonds formed across cultures, languages, and dinner tables. To our students: you have worked incredibly hard, and it shows. To our homestay families: thank you for being such an important part of this experience.
We are so proud of this community. 💙

Long weekend at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. 🎭
Our ELC Connection Program took students to enjoy the energy of the Fringe. On Thursday night they visited Gluttony and Saturday afternoon was dedicated to the Ebenezer Place Night Markets.
It was the perfect chance to enjoy the city, practise English outside the classroom and experience a little more of Aussie culture.
Another great memory for our ELC students in Adelaide. ✨

On Sunday we said goodbye to our wonderful students from the University of Tokyo.
After three special weeks studying at ELC and living with their Australian homestay families, it was time for them to return home.
Many of their host families came to the airport to say goodbye. It was a beautiful moment that shows how this experience can create meaningful connections in such a short time.
Thank you for being part of our ELC community. Safe travels back to Japan, and we hope to welcome you back to Adelaide one day! ✈️💙

Welcome on board!
To help our new students feel welcomed and supported, the ELC Connections team organised a Coffee, Chat and Connect event. Students visited two popular coffee spots near campus, enjoyed a complimentary drink, and met new friends during their first days at university.
Wishing you a fantastic journey ahead!

Caps off, smiles on! 🎓
Last Thursday’s PEP Completion Ceremony was a reminder of how far our students have come. Not just in English, but also in their confidence and sense of community.
We can’t wait to see where your English journey takes you next!
