Crafting connections beyond the classroom! ๐ŸŽจ

At our latest ELC Connections Crafternoon, students came together to get creative, share stories, and enjoy conversations in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Through crafts, laughter, and shared experiences, students had the opportunity to practise their English, build confidence, and connect with volunteers and peers from around the world.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our amazing volunteers for helping create such a welcoming space. We canโ€™t wait to see you at the next one! ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŒ One building, a whole world of cultures!

Each GEAP class took on a challenge and brought their own culture to life. One room hosted karaoke, another became a travel agency pitching dream trips to countries around the globe, others delivered presentations about where they come from, and a few taught the classic games they grew up playing back home.

This is what learning at ELC is all about: connecting, sharing and having fun while building real language skills.

Swipe through to see them in action ๐Ÿ“ธ

โ˜•๏ธ Connection Event: Coffee & Chat

Today we wrapped up our final Connection Event of the term with a Coffee & Chat afternoon in the city.

Students enjoyed a hot chocolate, great conversations, and the opportunity to practise their English outside the classroom in a relaxed and friendly environment. Events like these help students build confidence, make new friends from around the world, and discover new places in Adelaide.

A special thank you to our wonderful volunteers for joining the group and helping make the afternoon so enjoyable for everyone. ๐Ÿ’™

We look forward to welcoming more students to our Connection Events next term!

Who said learning about academic integrity couldnโ€™t be fun? ๐ŸŒŸ

Last week, the ELC celebrated Academic Integrity Week with interactive activities designed and led by our student ambassadors.

Students worked in groups to play bowling, darts and escape room challenges, testing their knowledge of academic integrity throughout each activity. ๐ŸŽณ๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿ”

A fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, connect with others and keep improving their English.

Well done to everyone involved! ๐Ÿ‘

New city. New friends. New opportunities to improve your English.

Our students met up with ILSC students for a picnic and conversation carousel. Hometowns, hobbies, and everything in between, getting to know each other one story at a time.

Another great opportunity for students to practise English outside the classroom, improve their confidence, and make new connections! ๐ŸŒโœจ

What a milestone moment! ๐ŸŽ“โœจ

Recently, the English Language Centre had the honour of hosting a graduation ceremony for students from Okayama University, Waseda University, Kobe University, Meiji University, the University of Toyama, and Kansai University, alongside the homestay families who made Adelaide feel like home.

This ceremony was a celebration not just of academic achievement, but of the bonds formed across cultures, languages, and dinner tables. To our students: you have worked incredibly hard, and it shows. To our homestay families: thank you for being such an important part of this experience.

We are so proud of this community. ๐Ÿ’™

Long weekend at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. ๐ŸŽญ

Our ELC Connection Program took students to enjoy the energy of the Fringe. On Thursday night they visited Gluttony and Saturday afternoon was dedicated to the Ebenezer Place Night Markets.

It was the perfect chance to enjoy the city, practise English outside the classroom and experience a little more of Aussie culture.

Another great memory for our ELC students in Adelaide. โœจ
