Tempo is used to manipulate the amount of time your muscles are under tension during an exercise. Depending on the desired effect the eccentric (down) or concentric (up) phase of the movement can be altered. Isometric holds at any position of the movement can also be added.

š”Gym Bag Essentialsš”
What should you pack in your gym bag/ always have on hand in the gym? For each person this list will differ based on your training needs and style, however there are a few basics everyone should have with them!
- Water Bottle, hydration is key during training, ensuring youāre maintaining adequate water intake is essential to your gains and everyday life.
- Post Workout Snack, similarly to hydration, refuelling is vital post workout to help recover energy stores for the rest of your day, it can also help with muscle recovery.
- Resistance Band, some gyms donāt have great access to resistance bands or similar equipment. Bands are very important for warm-ups and mobilisation and can be useful for accessories or manipulating different aspects of your workout.
- Sweat Towel, no one wants to sit on a sweaty bench/ piece of equipment after you, enough said.
- Headphones, these can help in creating your ideal training environment. In a commercial gym blasting music you donāt like? Problem solved. Is someone making too much noise near you, chatting, grunting or on the phone? Problem solved.

Today we completed our biggest ever event set up ahead of this weekendās 2022 CAPO National Championships. With the help of SO many absolute legends, we pulled off epic feat, creating a competition set up we are extremely proud of.

Invictus Power in-person coaching sessions are offered on session by session basis or in a multipack. We offer one on one, small group and group training!
One on one coaching is ideal for those who:
