And wow… it was even better than we imagined 🥹 Watching the little ones light up and instantly say “That’s Laura and Julian!” on the front cover was just the best 💛

What a beautiful week of play 💛

We shared two incredible Playgroup sessions, with so much exploring, creating and connection throughout the morning!

A big thank you to for the soft play setup… such gorgeous colours and so much fun for the children to enjoy ✨

Thank you Archer and Alice coffee van for keeping everyone refreshed with coffee and iced teas ☕️… they were delicious!

Our speckled egg HATCHED… and a tiny little bird hopped out and hid in a box before we could see it 🐣✨🫣

The excitement built all morning as we tried to guess what it could be… we heard everything from a seagull, to a rainbow lorikeet, and even a bin chicken!

While our mystery friend was hiding, we got busy making the most beautiful nest using natural materials 🪹🍃

We met our new Playgroup friend during song time and there were some very excited little faces 💛😃

We won’t share it just yet… we’re keeping the surprise for our Thursday families 🥰✨

Predicting, imagining and drawing… our final guesses are in! 🐣✨

Last week our giant egg had everyone very curious! We shared our ideas, made predictions, and created some amazing drawings of what might be inside. The conversations were just the best… chatting about animals that hatch from eggs and those that don’t!

We had some BIG ideas…
• Could it be an Australian animal? 🇦🇺
• Maybe a brand new dinosaur… imagine that! 🦖
• How big will it be when it hatches?!

We think something VERY special is about to arrive just in time for our National Playgroup Celebration this week… and we have a feeling it’s going to love joining in with our super fun song time 🎶

Today was a celebration of colour!🌈

We splashed in colourful water play, explored sensory play, climbed through soft play, and had so much fun under the parachute!

We even had a special surprise… Julian joined us from his honeymoon to sing songs with us. The room was full of music, laughter and very happy little voices🎶

We also learnt about some amazing recent colourful celebrations from around the world🌍

Carnavale in Italy is a vibrant celebration where people wear beautiful masks, bright costumes and parade through the streets with music, dancing and lots of joy 🎭

Holi in India is known as the Festival of Colours. Friends and families throw bright coloured powder into the air to celebrate happiness, friendship and the arrival of spring 🎨

It was a joyful, colourful morning full of play, learning and lots of smiles. We loved every minute! ✨

💛Coloured Spaghetti
We have had so many requests for coloured spaghetti! Laura has been very busy this weekend preparing so much for everyone to enjoy!

Get ready for some fun sensory play this week… squishing, scooping, mixing and exploring!

If you would like to try it at home, here’s how to make it 👇

• Step 1
Boil water in a pot on the stove.

• Step 2
When the water is bubbling, carefully add one packet of spaghetti and cook until soft.

• Step 3
While the spaghetti is cooking, fill a bowl with cold water and add a few drops of food colouring. Choose any colour you like! 🎨

• Step 4
Once the spaghetti is cooked, carefully take it out of the hot water and place it straight into the bowl of cold coloured water.

• Step 5
Leave it for a few minutes and watch the magic happen as the spaghetti changes colour! Then drain the water.

• Step 6
Time to play! Squish it, scoop it, mix colours together and enjoy the sensory fun! 🤲🌈
