I coach neurodivergent women over 30 through overwhelm, worry, and RSD, helping reconnect with themselves, find clarity, and rediscover adventure 🌊☀️
Hello there. Helz from Yellow Hat coaching here. Wanting to say hi to my new followers and welcome to my page.
I'm from Adelaide. Where are you from?
I'm really excited to see where everybody comes from around the world?
I'm originally from the UK but have been in Australia for 2 years now!

Oooo this is going to be brilliant
I'm definitely going as I'm helping to run the session!
Very excited to be able to collaborate with Mingle Co.

Get your sh*t together (gently)
Not by doing more
By:
eating properly
sleeping properly
moving your body
doing less, but doing it properly
Start with one thing.
I’m making a simple reset for this — comment RESET if you want it.
Day in the life of trying to help an ADHD brain wind down.
Tonight’s experiment: a latch hook kit.
Something about repetitive little tasks really helps my brain settle — especially before sleep.
Busy hands.
Cosy show.
Brain slowly powering down.
Question:
What helps your brain switch off at night?
Ending the week feeling calm and grateful.
Not every week needs to be packed with big wins.
Sometimes a bit of peace is the real achievement.
Question:
What’s one thing you’re taking from this week into the next?
A reflection from my week.
I realised I had been rushing everything walking faster, talking faster, trying to keep up with my own thoughts.
So I tried something different.
I slowed my walking.
And I slowed my talking.
It sounds simple, but it made a huge difference.
My body relaxed, my mind had space to think, and I felt much calmer during the day.
But, I still got everything done.
Sometimes the biggest shift comes from the smallest change.
What could you slow down this week? 💛
This is a small piece of the journey from Helen to Helz. 💛
In 2018 I decided to quit alcohol because I realised I wasn’t really choosing my life — I was just busy.
That decision led me to new connections, cold water swims, coaching, and eventually starting Yellow Hat Coaching.
It’s been messy, surprising, and full of growth.
But the biggest thing I’ve learned is that sometimes all it takes is one conversation — with the right person — to start changing direction.
And that’s why I coach

Well… I’ve finally written it. A bit about how I ended up here — from engineering and cold water swims to coaching and Yellow Hat. It’s really the story of how Helen slowly became Helz. If you fancy a read, it’s below.
This is the story of becoming someone I actually recognise - Yellow Hat Coaching This is really the story of how I slowed down enough to change direction and find my own purpose. In 2018, I chose to quit alcohol.
