At Educare Little Learners we offer flexible care arrangements. What this means is if you need to swap a permanent day to attend an appointment we will do this for you at no extra charge. We understand that family life and needs do change and we try to support families by offering flexibility. We also have an absent due to illness policy where you have the option of swapping the day to a different day during the week or having a make up day. We work with families where possible to provide families flexibility for those who work on a roster that may change from week to week. If you would like to know more call Plympton on 08 7230 7404 or Unley on 0416 310 032.

Over the last two weeks we have had Playgroup SA come to both Unley and Plympton and complete Ready, Set, Progess child development checks. The aim of these checks are to look at childrens key developmental milestones and help parents understand their childs progress, know whats next and reveal any areas where a child may need further support. Supporting children and their families to ensure children are reaching developmental milestones in early childhood builds a strong foundation for a child's future learning. Early help and support is also important and through these checks parents and caregivers we given practical and individualised strategies and if further support is needed help accessing that support. We appreciated being part of this initiative.

A big shout out to the Salvation Army for providing a sausage sizzle. Thanks to the people who set up market stalls. We are lucky to be part of a rich history

From school bells to storytime – this building has seen it all! 🏫

St Augustine’s School, located at 183 Unley Road, first opened its doors in 1888. Originally a small wooden building, it was soon replaced with the charming stone structure you can still see today – thanks to funds raised by the local community.

The school was started by the Kilburn Sisters and remained in their care until 1912. Over the years, it evolved from a parish day school to a grammar school, then a preschool, and eventually became the Lindisfarne School in the 1980s. Then, in 1999, it took on new life as an antique shop.

These days, the site now houses Educare Little Learners.

Next time you’re on Unley Road, take a stroll past St Augustine’s School and soak up a little slice of the past.
