Our 4 Australian Private Pilot Licence theory modules (coded A1, A2, B1 and B2) offer aviation enthusiasts with in-depth flying knowledge to prepare for practical flying.

Since 2021, a commercial piloting course namely Operational Procedure of Commercial Flying in Hong Kong (C1) has been added to our curriculum. A2 graduates who meet certain recruitments are welcomed.

In 2022, HKFTC is pleased to introduce a new programme specialised in Flight Simulation Training (A3). We are excited to unveil a multi-million professional flight simulation training device (FSTD) that allows 6 degree-of-freedom movement of the entire simulator.

An unusual winter season in Brisbane this year, yet great accomplishment in Redcliffe with the help of our team and professional instructors at the club.

A new course material has been created for the course - Operational Procedures of Commercial Flying in Hong Kong (OPCF), by a Gathering of Wisdom.

Our students in Group 1 of our 2023 Fall Adelaide Practical Flight Training have been enjoying every second in the sky with stunning view of the mother nature along the coastline of Adelaide.

A good flight lesson always starts with a preflight walk-around check.

10 of our students in Group 1 of 2023 Fall Practical Flight Training has commenced their 10 hours sky experience flight training journey in Cessna C172S with our overseas’ partner - Aerostar Aviation in Parafield Airport in Adelaide.

Apart from flying, the groups utilised as much training resources as possible at Parafield airport.

Visiting maintenance hangers and the air traffic controller tower are important in understanding the whole picture of how the aviation industry works. These valuable experiences cannot be offered from text books.

On the leisure side, the training groups also enjoyed Australian cuisines, the famous South Australia wine region and other recreational activities!

The final group of 2022’s overseas practical flight training completed in mid to late Oct indicates a strong rebound of passion to fly among potential aviators in Hong Kong in pro-pandemic period.

Second batch of 15 students in Group 2 accomplished their flight training with satisfaction and smiles at Flight Training Adelaide in Parafield Airport in Adelaide of South Australia. Despite facing enormous challenges with bad weather and covid hits, they all showed their adaptability and flexibility during difficult time and managed to
perform well with achievements.

This batch also highlights a history of HKFTC’s overseas practical flight training courses as it is the first time ever there are more female students enrolled than male students. It is of our great privilege to see such a trend that female aviators are stepping up to play more important roles in both general and commercial aviation nowadays.

Another successful overseas practical flight training course completed.

First 15 of our students in Group 1 just completed their 10 hours flight experience course with flying colours in Flight Training Adelaide(FTA) at Parafield Airport in Adelaide, South Australia in 2 weeks.

Boys and girls in this course all flew the Diamond star DA40 aircrafts in airline-standard syllabus up to circuits level.

We are privileged to witness smiling faces on these 15 passionate aviators after their first taste of flying.

Chart Reading and Plotting are important skills in navigating an aircraft.

As a competent private pilot, we not only manage charting in classroom, but also on a fast-moving aircraft…… while also experiencing turbulence, looking for traffic, talking to ATC, having snacks and…… being LOST!
