National Reconciliation Week

Reconciliation doesn't happen just one week of the year – it's an active choice we make every single day.

Today marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week (NRW), an annual opportunity to reflect on and recommit to our roles in the practice of reconciliation.

The 2026 National Reconciliation Week theme is All In: a call for every one of us to act and inspire change. This morning our students and staff came together to begin NRW with a Welcome to County and Didgeridoo performance by Luke and River from Kumakaaru.

Our students showed amazing engagement and respect for our visitors and we look forward to celebrating the week ahead together with a range of activities.

Term 2 Begins - Monday, 27th April 🏫

A reminder that term 2 begins tomorrow, Monday the 27th of April.

The new energy drink ban also comes into effect this term. This decision was made in consultation with our school community, and we look forward to working together with families to support improved concentration and healthier choices for all students.

ANZAC DAY 🌺

On ANZAC Day, we honor the courage and sacrifice of past and present Australian and New Zealand service members who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. Today is a time for reflection and honoring the ANZAC spirit. Lest We Forget.

This includes:
- making choices that keep ourselves and others safe

- showing care and responsibility, including with our wellbeing dog, Murphy

This includes:
- speaking to others with kindness and respect
- including others and making everyone feel welcome
- helping and supporting others when they need it

Our PBL focus for week 7 is Smooth Classroom Routines.
This includes:
- arriving on time and being ready to learn
- following classroom routines and teacher instructions
- moving calmly and settling quickly into learning

One more sleep….

Tomorrow is our annual Athletics Day and we’re excited!

Students will go to their care group at 8.40am to mark their attendance, before heading out to the oval.

Parents are welcome to spectate, but siblings, regardless of age, need to be accompanied by a parent. All visitors must sign in and out at the front gate.
