Long have I been waiting for the precise seasonal conditions to create a lush green valley with solid ground underfoot, and a dam yet to fill!

Late autumn in The Year of The Horse has gifted us this landscape and I’ve spied an opportunity to design a one-off signature sublime experience, held in the heart of an ecosystem all of its own.

Far up the back of our sanctuary, hidden away from the world, beneath the native scrub where our Wedge-tailed Eagles nest.

Arriving after lunch, we’ll meet and greet each other and I’ll introduce you to all 7 of the Walk Sublime horses, relaxing at home. In a very special first, the horses will be given the opportunity to choose their human partner for the afternoon.

Which horse will be drawn to you?

Partnered up and with lead ropes on, there are no expectations of either horses or humans. No agenda. Our horses will show us the meaning of being in the ‘calm state’ - happily grazing as we slowly, quietly, wander up the valley, past our magnificent Weeping Willow, following the creek line due north towards the dam.

Each of us tuning into our own true north.

Currently a lush crater at the heart of a revegetation project, full of life, the feeling is like walking into a private natural amphitheatre, to the blissful soundtrack of crickets… and happy horses grazing.

Spending Mother’s Day early evening exploring the forest and all its treasures with my first baby, Aussie Brumby ‘Koszi’, and my wise and graceful teacher, Arabian ‘Kite’ - who could ask for more?

Since then we've booked out for the March long weekend, Easter break, ANZAC Day weekend and yes, Mother's Day weekend.. and now, wouldn't you know it? Here's magnificent Scout knocking readers' socks off as they flip through the pages of another groundbreaking South Aussie creation.
