At Inventor Kids, all of our experiences are designed and delivered to give kids a positive outlook on STEM. We offer a very varied program to showcase the broad nature of the industry and for your child to find their own place to belong in it.

|| RESCUE DEVICES ||

Now, the kids have told me that this engineering challenge was next level (their words!). They had to design a rescue device that would hold their patient (aka superhero!) steady when they airlifted them to safety. But they had to purchase materials to design and make it and stay within their budget. These are some proper engineering skills that they would need to have in the real-world and they are using them already! What a way to get our future workforce ready!

|| BUTTERFLY SYMMETRY ||

Discovering how symmetry works is so much fun when you get to practice it yourself. These butterflies were the perfect way to learn about it and practice this important maths skill.

Check out the amazing streetscape that the City of Unley has initiated. Our power poles have never looked so good. Plus, we love that our presence on Goodwood Road contributes to the diversity of artwork that appears on the street. This is one example of how Inventor Kids is influencing and contributing to the community. Make sure you take a look at them when you next drive past!

|| SOLAR OVENS ||

These solar ovens have been a huge hit in our sessions. They teach your child all about engineering, physics, maths and renewable energy. Plus they get to take them home so they can test them and see for themselves just how effective the system is. There were lots of young scientists coming back the week after to tell me that it actually melted their chocolate!

Discovering forces and motion is lots of fun when you build it yourself. This catapult challenge also helps us to practice perseverance. It’s trickier than it seems!

Everything we do at Inventor Kids is bespoke and unique. Why? Because we are founded by an engineer who has real engineering experience and a (MEGA!) passion for STEM.

She isn’t afraid to create things and this includes all of the example boards we hang in our lab. These are one-of-a-kind that are all designed to help kids to learn STEM.

This is the behind the scenes looks at creating the circuits board that hangs in our lab and shows kids the foundations of electrical circuits. Plus, it’s an excuse for another trip to Bunnings and Jaycar Electronics!
