The Ark Salisbury Lutheran Kindergarten

Happy Birthday Salisbury Lutheran Kindergarten! A rich history and legacy of education, care and sharing God’s love with children and families in the community for 50 years with The Ark Lutheran church.

A special celebration on Sunday August 10th brought together generations of former students, staff, and families,
including all 6 kindergarten directors.

We thank the Salisbury Rotary Club for donating a Peace Pole to mark this special occasion.

The Peace Pole was officially unveiled by the Honourable MP Zoe Bettison , Honourable MP Mr Tony Zappia and Mr Damien Walker, President of the Salisbury Rotary Club.

We give thanks to God for all the people who have made this kindergarten a shining light of hope and quality education in the centre of Salisbury, from its early beginnings in 1975.

Today The Ark Kindergarten continues to be a place of belonging for children and families, where the values of love, play and learn are seen in action everyday.

Matthew 19:14 Jesus said ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these’.

Come and celebrate 50 years with us!
We begin with a service of thanksgiving at 10am followed by a bring and share lunch. We can’t wait to see you all.

Koala Group - Thursday/ Friday
8:15 am - 3:45 pm

Wednesday -Playgroup in the kindy
9:00am - 10:30 am

We have some new friends at kindy!
One of our families has kindly brought in some Stick Insects for us.

We are now very busy learning about our Violet Wings (small green leaf insects) and the larger brown Crowns (Stick insects).

The children have been noticing, wondering and even holding the insects.

We love seeing the children’s curiosity and even joy as they get up close with some of God’s incredible creatures!

Happy Saturday everyone and it’s the first day of Autumn too!
If you have time pop into Bunnings, Parafield and pick up a hot sausage and drink. All proceeds support our kindy.

We have noticed when we offer painting children are wanting to paint their hands. When we provide the raw materials we notice that the process of exploration looks different for every child. Some children simply enjoy the feel of paint on their hands, while others explore moving the paint in different ways and some are beginning to make marks in the paint that have meaning for them.

We feel excited about nuturing our creative artists this year!

2025 Kindy Family Picnic Night
Wednesday March 5th at 5pm.
Kangaroo and Koala families come and join us for a hands on rhythm drumming experience with Bortier Okoe from African Soul.
We are excited to share a musical experience with our children and families that is fun and uplifting. Bring your energy!

Hey! Feel like a night out with the family? Want to support our kindy? Why not do both (and save the dishes).

Come to the Brahma Lodge Hotel and buy a schnitzel on Tuesday February 25th - $5 from EVERY schnitzel sold goes directly to the kindy.

Bring your friends and family too!

The children are exploring the kindy environment and have noticed our big map of Indigenous Australia and our large Aboriginal flag. They are wondering and asking questions ‘what is this?’ We think this is a great opportunity to prompt further thinking with an inquiry box. I wonder where this learning will go?

It’s Week 1 and that means that playgroup is back! Please join us from 9am-10:30am in the Ark Church for fun and connection. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle, hat and sunscreen. We can’t wait to see you all! Again, a big thank you to Endeavour College for their continued support of our playgroup.
