Today we were fortunate enough to receive a visit from Yass (on the left) and Grantly (on the right), two police officers who were in the area. We got to know the horses, what they are used for as well as feed them a cheeky apple.
Community connections and links foster each child's sense of belonging, allowing children to learn from different perspectives and broaden their understanding of the world.

Today Little Kindy Thebarton visited the APY Gallery in Thebarton.
When early childhood professionals engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives through traditional and contemporary arts-based pedagogy and teaching practices, they are acknowledging the value of First Nations ways of knowing and being. Engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions is vitally important in effective and authentic teaching that incorporates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.
At Little Kindy Thebarton we have commenced the writing of our Reconciliation Action Plan. What a better way to get children's voices and promote understanding and appreciation than to engage in a meaningful experience here in our own Suburb!
Happy Halloween All! đťđ
