When Exercise Hurts: Clinical Strategies for Safe and Effective Movement in Pain Populations

As we know, Accredited Exercise Physiologists play a crucial role in helping clients manage and overcome chronic pain. This session will firstly aim to examine the current evidence that supports our understanding of chronic pain. Secondly, this session will crucially outline how the research can be applied in a practical setting. Allied health practitioners that specialise in this space, will discuss how we can foster patient engagement and meaningful outcomes, through movement, education, and empowerment. Practical examples will also be used to illustrate how we can apply this knowledge to deliver holistic, person-centered pain management.
