A new way to give adrenaline in an anaphylaxis emergency has arrived in Australia.

Meet neffy®, a needle-free adrenaline (epinephrine) nasal spray developed for the emergency treatment of severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis.

Unlike an adrenaline auto-injector, neffy® is given through the nose and contains a single dose of adrenaline. There is no needle, no need to pre-spray, and no need to sniff or breathe in after administration.

Adrenaline remains the first-line emergency treatment for anaphylaxis, and neffy® provides another way for it to be administered when needed.

The neffy® products are registered on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods, and intranasal adrenaline preparations containing up to 2 mg per dose became Pharmacist Only (Schedule 3) medicines from 1 February 2026.
