Our preschool days are full of exploration, investigation and wonder.
Today we wonder what will happen to the caterpillar in the chrysalis and how long will it be in there?

Here's an example from our week of children engaging with loose parts and exploring schematic play (positioning and enclosing). The less prescriptive materials are, the deeper the opportunities for play :).

It's been a very hot but very successful first week of kindy for 2026! What have been your child's highlights?

There is now a new speed limit in place on Fradd Road, where the preschool and primary school are located.

Stay alert and stay safe!

New 40 km/h time-based school speed zones are being applied to high traffic roads near school campuses to improve children’s safety.

The new speed limits apply on school days between 8:00am-9:30am and 2:00pm-4:00pm, along with the 25 km/h school zones that always apply when children are present.

My name is Clare Crew and I'm the new Director at Angle Vale Preschool :). I've been an Early Childhood Teacher for 22 years and have been leading the team at Flagstaff Hill Kindy for the past 3.

Children's first day of 2026 will be Tuesday 27th January for the Wisteria group and Wednesday 28th January for the Myrtle group. I'm excited to meet our new and returning community members soon!
