Father’s Day Gifts 🫟🎨

Happy Monday from Classroom 6! Today, our Kindy children embraced their creativity as they made special gifts for Father’s Day. Using watercolour paints, they transformed heart-shaped magnetic canvases into unique works of art.

The children also created their own greeting cards, thoughtfully choosing their colours, drawings and messages. With the freedom to make their own choices, each child’s personality and growing confidence could be seen throughout their creations.

It was inspiring to watch the children take ownership of their creations while exploring early literacy through mark-making, letter formation and meaningful attempts to write the names and messages that were important to them.

Book Week at Nido Paradise!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Book Week with our little ones! The children enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters, sharing stories and using their imaginations. 📖

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Alison from Gowrie SA to Nido Early School Paradise.

Alison shared valuable strategies and practical ideas to help us continue improving our learning and care environment for children. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to reflect, learn, and strengthen our commitment to providing inclusive learning and high-quality early childhood education and care.

A big thank you, Alison, for sharing your knowledge. We are excited to put these ideas into practice as we continue creating meaningful learning experiences for every child.

Kindy Kitchen Garden 🌱🪏

The children in Classroom 5 and Classroom 6 have begun an exciting journey of discovery through the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, made possible through our Flying Start 3-Year-Old Preschool Program.

Together, they shovelled fresh soil into their garden bed, planted parsley and rainbow silverbeet and created labels for their new plants, weaving literacy into their hands-on learning.

As their curiosity grows alongside their garden, the children will continue exploring where food comes from and how to care for living things, nurturing a lifelong appreciation for nature.

Tiny Movers in Paradise 🌈👣

Today, the children in Classroom 5 and Classroom 6 enjoyed their first movement session with Rosie from Tiny Movers, made possible through our Flying Start 3-Year-Old Preschool Program.

The children were immersed in an outback adventure, pretending to be kangaroos as they jumped with two feet, stretched on their tummies, crossed their body's midline, crawled through a tunnel and finished with deep breathing.

Rosie will be visiting every Thursday for the next 10 weeks, leading fun and engaging sessions designed to support the children's motor skills, coordination, social development and confidence through movement.

Kindergarten Graduation 🎓✨

Last Wednesday was a day of celebration for our Classroom 6 children as they marked the end of their Kindergarten journey at Nido Early School Paradise.

The afternoon was filled with excitement, pride and many smiling faces as the children gathered with their families and teachers to mark the end of an important chapter in their early learning journey.

Many of these children first joined our Nido community as babies and toddlers, making this celebration an especially meaningful moment.

It has been a privilege to watch them grow into curious, capable and compassionate learners, ready to embrace the next stage of their educational journey!

At Nido, we're proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week across all our early schools. 💛🖤❤️
This week, our children will explore the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through meaningful learning experiences, storytelling, art, music and connection.
By celebrating NAIDOC Week, we're helping nurture respect, curiosity and a deeper appreciation for the world's oldest continuing cultures - creating opportunities for children to learn from the past, connect with the present and help shape a more inclusive future.
We can't wait to share some of the wonderful moments from our celebrations throughout the week.
