Playgroup will run a little differently next year. Families will need to register their interest to enrol for our session. Our new coordinators will be in touch with families on the registration list closer to the day with more information.

⭐️ Kindness Baskets for the Community ⭐️
We are so grateful to the many groups that support our kindergarten. The children and teachers worked together to develop kindness baskets to send thanks to our wonderful community.
Kindy finishes today, we’ve had a fabulous year and can’t wait for another one. We love engaging with our local community and can’t wait to see what 2026 brings. Happy summer and Merry Christmas to those that celebrate.

McKellar Stewart Kindergarten and the Kensington Residents Association have been proud collaborators on a range of community initiatives over the past few years. Together, we’ve worked to enhance our shared neighbourhood in ways that support children’s learning, strengthen family connections, and enrich the sense of belonging within our local community.

These partnerships not only improve the spaces around us, they help children feel part of something bigger, create opportunities for families to come together, and model what active citizenship looks like from the very early years.

We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of the KRA and their commitment to our kindergarten and the wider neighbourhood. 2025 has been a busy and exciting year… but watch this space.. more to come from MSK and the KRA in 2026.

The Norwood Christmas Pageant. Merry Christmas from the team ⭐️

We recently celebrated our fantastic playgroup coordinators Melissa and Lil for their contribution to our kindergarten. They have volunteered their time for the community for almost 2 years now to run our playgroup. Our playgroup is a fantastic opportunity to come together to play and connect with local families. Melissa and Lil were presented Volunteering Awards to thank them for their dedication and commitment.

We have been working with the Kensington Residents Association to improve the safety of the crossing outside of our kindy.

Playgroup at McKellar Stewart Kindergarten is cancelled this morning due to a special event. See you next week at 9:30!

Today we have been so lucky to have Andrew and Peter from the Kensington Residents Association completing another stage of the Regent Gardens Development.
They have painted a ‘race track’ around the curved path for running and other games.
We think it looks great, thank you Andrew and Peter.
