Today we had the honour of hosting a very special announcement at Nido Early School Black Forest.

A heartfelt thank you to The Hon. Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier of South Australia, The Hon. Lucy Hood MP, Minister for Education, Training and Skills, and Jayne Stinson MP, Member for Badcoe, for joining us and allowing our service to be part of this milestone moment.

We also extend a special thank you to the Office for Early Childhood Development for their leadership and commitment in bringing this important reform to children across South Australia.

We are beyond excited to share that three‑year‑old preschool will be available to our families as part of the mid‑year rollout. This is an incredible step forward for early learning in our state, and we are proud to support our children as they begin this next chapter.

To our amazing families — thank you for your ongoing support, trust, and enthusiasm. And to our dedicated team — your passion and commitment make everything we do possible.

We can’t wait to continue this journey with our children, families, and community

Last month SAPOL visited us at Nido Black Forest to give the children a tour of their police car!

The experience provided the children opportunies to engage hands on with the vechile, ask questions and turn the siren on!

We were very grateful for our visitors to take time out of their busy day and create a special moment for our children! 🚙 👮

At Nido Early School Black Forest, the children have been busy recently enjoying their very own first aid session run by Nick from Engage First Aid.

This interactive and fun learning experience saw the children actively engaged in practising CPR, exploring recovery positions, and learning how to use bandages. These hands-on opportunities support children in gaining early exposure to first aid and understanding how to respond in emergency situations.

It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they explored these important life skills in a safe and supportive environment!

A very special congratulations to Taryn and Jade!

We are thrilled to announce that Taryn has been appointed as our Classroom 3 Lead Educator, and Jade has been appointed as our Classroom 1 Lead Educator.

We are incredibly proud of their achievements. Their dedication, love, and care are felt not only within their own rooms but across our entire centre. Their leadership, consistency, and heart make such a meaningful difference every day.

Congratulations to you both — this is so well deserved 🙌

Today our nest burst into colour as we celebrated Holi — the Festival of Colours!

Our children explored vibrant powders, joyful play, and the meaning behind this beautiful celebration of love, light, and new beginnings.

Holi reminds us of the power of community, connection, and celebrating the diversity that makes our centre so special. Thank you to our families who shared stories, traditions, and joy with us today.

Happy Holi from our Nido Black Forest family to yours.
